Anything can leak down the road. Believe it or not, most new housing are using PEX pipe instead of copper or PVC now, and we never know if the builder is doing it right or not. We bought 900k new house with PEX piping and sharkbite had no issues. Our other house built in 2010 with copper and PVC has tons of issues.
If you own a house, you need to know some DIY skills, especially plumbing. Fix any leaks ASAP before it does more collateral damage. We learned it the hard way.

This price is pretty good deal since greedy inflation scam. IIRC, this is a regular price pre-covid.

Good Lawd!!! Here we go again!! I've literally used hundreds of shark bite connectors and NEVER, NEVER had a leak. I suspect you have NO IDEA how to properly use them.

Used a sharkbite to replace a leaky pipe that would have been too inconvenient to change as it was inside a wall. No leaks for the past 7 years.

Never used this particular one but have shutoffs made by the same manufacturer in our bath. Have been leak proof for the last 12 years. Make sure you read through the instructions before you push the valve on.

do not use shark bites unless you want a leak down the road. do it right or do it twice. don't mess with water
I haven't had any problems with these, I also used them on my hot water lines and no problems for over four years.

Used these for many years and have never had a problem.....they're rated for "in wall" use. Also, I make sure I get the newer lead free ones.

People have been saying Sharkbites leak due to Project Farm torture testing the hell out of them and they failed, under normal use you won't have an issue with them. I've personally used thier products (not these in the OP specifically) and haven't had a single issue (knock on wood).

These things are convenient and work well in hard to reach areas. When I repiped my house I used the normal connections throughout the rest of the house because I'd go broke using sharkbites for everything. Basically, I echo everyone else; these are great.

Almost half regular price so pretty good although I prefer using 1/4-turn ball valves instead. Much less issues down the line.

Define 'down the road'. I'm at the age where 30 years down the road for my roof, pluming, etc, I'm really not all that worried about.

I had some copper pipes freeze between the floors of my house. So, it was either cut open the upstairs floor or cut open the downstairs ceiling. Instead, I fed PEX down the channel and used these types of couplings. I placed electronic leak sensors at both ends.
