The Flash jacket line is supposed to be a competitor to the Arc'teryx Atom, Patagonia Nano, NF Ventrix, etc. (i.e. synthetic, breathable, lightly insulated, etc.). A bunch of folks I know seem to like the Flash jackets and they sold well when I worked at REI. I use an Atom (vest and jacket) and love it for any kind of aerobic exercise when it's very cold. That being said, this is a much friendlier price point than the dead bird company.
