The new brushless 6 1/2 is still available for 55 after hack. Much better deal than this.

It's a better saw. But twice the price, if you're willing to do the hack. So better deal is subjective.
These are a little weak (almost as strong as my old Skill that was older than me and much worse than my corded DeWalt) and a little small, but they are handy. I have used mine more than I expected.

Have this saw and it's a nice supplement to my bigger corded circular saw. Easy to grab and use for a small cut of 2x4 or plywood. It does bind occasionally on a long plywood cut though.

I changed the blade for this one since I do more plywood cuts:

One thing that's odd though is the product page on home depot and ryobi's site say 3/8" arbor, but the product manual pdf says 10mm arbor. Don't know which is right, or if they are interchangeable.

I have this and the old ni-cad ryobi that takes a 4.5 inch blade. Do not buy this, it cannot cut a 2x4 without getting stuck, The old 4.5" works alot better. I bought this so all my tools would match but i'm still using the old blue ryobi.

On a full 2 ah battery, I have only been able to get 6 linear feet cut of 1/2 osb with this saw. Brushless and of course bigger and more batteries would make a huge difference if you are cutting more than a 2x4 here and there.
