Lol one of the more unhelpful descriptions of the sale in the subject line....up to $x...doesn't help! Yeah I will leave this thread alone, gets weird in here after a couple posts.

For those of us not in the know, what's wrong with Zooz?

The company is extremely aggressive about customer relations, dishing out tiny discounts for glowing reviews (and people weirdly go for it), while also paying for and/or trolling these threads, commenting on everything in defense of their business.

Nothing especially wrong with them, just not welcomed in a consumer forum that's (supposed to be) dedicated to caveat emptor.

what's the "senior citizen home automation enthusiasts" mean?

is that like an implication that only old people with tons of time do this stuff?

For one, the median age of home buyers is now 47. Younger folks don't usually go about replacing in-wall switches in their rental pads or dorms. Some folks do this for their parent's homes if that's where they are living, but that has limitations.
well, i guess if you think senior citizens are 47, sure.

No, more a frame of mind: wedded to old tech like non-SmartThings hubs like Homeseer that required tons of tinkering and customization and coding to do exactly what SmartThings does better. It's a stubbornness about "the way things were" refusing to catch up with mobility.
shrug, i use vera and i tried smartthings, too restrictive and "canned"

smartthings is like having an apple iphone when u could have an android phone

I have had great luck with my Zooz products, FWIW. Not a shill. I promise. Nobody pushed me to leave reviews either, that I remember..

toxic much?

And most progressive companies these days offers some sort of marketing discount for leaving a review ("extremely aggressive" and it has to be glowing lol), joining a mailing list, referring a friend, etc. And lets see some proof of trolling or paying users to defend the company. Hit up reddit r/smarthome/HASS/Hubitat/smartthings etc, and guess what? Everyone has generally positive things to say about Zooz and their support.

The Zooz Open/Close sensor was the smallest form factor I could find and worked perfectly on my double-hung windows mounted in the middle while still being able to open both top and bottom panes of windows. They work perfectly in Smart things except for one sensor always gives me a false low battery alert.

Same experience here and haven't been compensated in any way.

Maybe if you weren't a senior citizen you could figure that issue out
