for any existing users, you should be able to cancel your current subscription if it ends before this promo expires (not sure when this promotion expires), and then when the premium runs out, re-upgrade from free[peacocktv.com] using one of the two codes for either monthly (SEPTEMBER) or yearly (ONEYEAR) discounts. you can then go back in and re-add the no-ad "plus" add-on, as well.
Is that for new users only I did sign up around 3 days back.
I was a previous subscriber, cancelled and was on free tier. I was able to sign up just now for the 1 year $20 deal from my control panel. I saw another member post that they were currently subscribed and they couldn't apply the code - no idea if you could cancel then turn around and immediately upgrade again or not?
If you have Xfinity, you can get Peacock for free. We have Xfinity internet service only and have signed up for Peacock for free. I don't remember since it's been a while sinceI watched Peacock but I *think* it's Peacock Premium.
I don't know if the deal is still valid but you should look into it first if you are Xfinity customer.

Paying for the privilege to be subjected to advertising. This is what we have come to in our world.
Not sure if you've lived under a rock for the past 40 years, but this is the foundation of the cable TV concept.
I've since moved on and pay for premium so no one in my house sees no ads. Someone asks me if I've seen a certain commercial and I'm like "no, haven't seen that one"

Just a heads up to any Spectrum customers out there, you can still get Peacock Premium for 90 days free if you are an internet subscriber or a full year if you are a cable subscriber. I had the 90 day promo earlier in the year and was able to get it again just today.

Only ads I see are live TV watching sports.
