EBay has 15% off on a lot of things. I was looking for a c1 48 inch but found the lg 48gq900-b 48" for 1197 and the coupon code LABORDAYSAVE brings it down to 1016.45. Since all the c1 48s are sold out I figured this is a good deal for anyone who doesn't want to wait until next year for the c2 48"s to hit down to 800 like the c1s if they ever will.
Think this is pretty slick at this pt in time if you need one. This oled from LG is specifically catered to the PC gaming folks. Has Display port, 138 hz capable refresh, and a matte screen...so minimal reflections at the cost of visual color pop.
I caved in for a C1 and its been amazing, reflections are hardly noticeable for where i use it.

Any suggestions on how to deal with the abl? Want to jump in this but I'm bit upset about abl since I sometimes use my desktop for googledoc.
Thank you.

From what I've seen in the reviews on YouTube it doesn't look like you can just move the mouse or open a new tab unfortunately

Honestly, it never bothered me much, but i dont use my oled outside of movies and games on the PC. Did the typically suggested turn off of TPC and GSR and i still couldnt really notice the difference. My eyes perhaps are just not sensitive to these things...thankfully?
This is a 48 inch OLED TV being called a gaming monitor 🤣 Manufacturers are getting lazier and consumers are getting dumber buy the day.
Regular Tv and gaming monitor are different. Gaming monitor have low input lag, high refresh rate & fast respond time so when you play game it smoother, no to little lag.
Do note that this has a matte coating which can be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. It will do really well with reflections but slightly affects the perception of color pop and dynamism. The blacks also don't look as good on a matte screen.
i just picked up from Microcenter, they not honor Ebay price match but it fine. Now exciting to see the outcome tomorrow. they out of Usbc 8k cable so i cannot test on my macbook first while waiting for pc to come. will let you guys know how it like.
i got all set up and running. Just 1 word: it freaking awesome pics quality. I also run dual with my macbook m1 to compare. I used Apple Usbc to Hdmi adaptor, and HDMI come with monitor to test. Apple win for quality this round. Tomorrow my 8k HDMI come, so i will able to run full 120mhz 4k test. For eyes sore, not at all. Wasnt scary as i though it would be. Over all, for just slightly above 1k. Go for it guys. Def worth it!
What's the advantage of using this as opposed to just a C2/G2? Is the input lag lower on this? The only thing with the TV is that I'd also have apps like Netflix, etc, without having to plug in an external device
I posted this deal and received the monitor yesterday. It is a great monitor but this deal https://slickdeals.net/f/16015774-48-aorus-fo48u-4k-120hz-oled-1ms-freesync-gaming-monitor-600-after-200-rebate-free-s-h is essentially the same thing with a few less features and doesn't overclock to 138 hz but is immediately 250 cheaper and then with the rebate 450. I plan on returning the lg and already purchased the Aorus instead. I cant justify a 450 price difference for essentially the same thing.
