I was with them for 20+ years and finally left them in 2021 when they wouldn't offer anything reasonable. These prices are likely just in markets where consumers have choices. Thankfully, many can get home internet from Verizon or T-Mobile now and it is putting pressure on AT&T and cable companies.

Actually saw this price via Facebook ad. So, unless FB shares exact address with advertisers, they wouldn't know I had service before. If Spectrum is the only option in your area, no reason for them to offer these rates. This is very address dependent.

I was a Spectrum customer paying $75/mo until last year, then I switched to Frontier Fiber and have been paying $50/mo. My 12 month promo price commitment from Frontier is ending next week. So it is such perfect time that Spectrum is offering me this deal $20/mo.
I went on Spectrum website to sign up just now and it was extremely fast. They will simply ship to me a new free modem (modem with built-in router would cost $10/mo) arriving next day tomorrow so I can hook it up to the same coax cable that I previously used. I already have a much better router.
I didn't even have to put in my credit card number, no activation fee, no tech appointment. Nothing to pay upfront.

I asked some agents about it, and they said the address needed to be without service for a month, which I don't believe.
I'm currently paying $75 per month for 300mbit...
I was considering Verizon Ultra-Wide Band, but I'm not in their service area. One thing to keep in mind, if you require a dedicated IP from a cell carrier, good luck. They all use CGNAT, which means you're sharing IP addresses with other people.

I checked a few houses on spectrum that had at&t available, and none of them showed the deal. Only the houses NOT on spectrum had the deal pop up. Should be able to call and threaten to switch and get it IF at&t fiber is available at your address it looks like.
