I've been debating this and wondering if it's a good deal. I wanted to pare with the 9500s for full surround sound. I know very little about soundbars, so is this a good set up for the $600 price tag with rear speakers?

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

pairing this with the 9500s rear speakers will give you a full 5.1.4 atmos system with two front and two rear up-firing speakers.

I think this is the equivalent of the hw-q700b, just with a Costco-specific model number, from my earlier research.

Hm, trying to decide between this at $380 or the q800B for $500 (can get from samsung site on a first responders discount). Assuming this is the version of the q700b looks like the main difference is 2 extra channels only? There aren't many reviews for this thing out there unfortunately...

I bought this to pair with the Samsung TV. The q symphony and Dolby atmos are pretty nice. Much improvement over just the tv sound for watching movies. I'm by far an audiophile so can't comment relative to other products. Only thing I would like is a longer hdmi cable from what is included.

I just ordered this! hopefully it pairs well and seamlessly with my Sony TV. I wanted Sony soundbar to go with the Sony TV initially, but the price point was just too high for me Frown

I recently purchased a Samsung 5.1ch HW-Q67CB. It is working fine for me but the model has a recall from Costco. I'm debating if I should return it for this HW-Q7CB. Suggestions please!

Also, 5.1 to 3.1, will it be a downgrade? If I chose to return my current sound bar.

I'm in the same boat, not sure why there seem to be such limited reviews on these. I ordered the q800b off Samsung with edu but it is backordered until Sept 23rd and I was tempted to pick this up when I saw it. I'm going to hold out though, as the 2 extra speakers on the q800 are side firing which is supposed to improve the width of the soundstage and the subwoofer looks to be significantly better on the q800b (weighs 2x as much and has a larger driver, seems to be the same sub as the q910b) Also, the 12months no interest financing through Samsung makes it easier for me.

I went to a Best Buy hoping to get ears on the hw-q700b, and overheard a sales rep telling another customer that Samsung's Costco models are manufactured by a third party i.e. not Samsung. Can someone confirm or deny if this is true?

The Soundbars from Costco are compatible with Samsung Q series symphony feature and also compatible with the Samsung 9500s rear atmos speakers. I don't think they would be be different from the 700 series Soundbar

Just came across this package deal for $400.. includes Yamaha A/V receiver, Sub, and 5x speakers. Would probably sound better, no? And has more HDMI for future upgrades? Thoughts? It's refurbished but still looks like great deal. https://www.accessories4less.com/...tem/1.html

Edit: it has Burr-Brown DACs. Are those still as good as they used to be? I remember that being a major selling point in the 90s…

Not sure what so special about this. Sounds like my $200 speaker except this one cost $600... I can't justify this price, even on sale. not sure if going to keep or not..
