Cards should be dropping a bit more in the coming months. Lots of inventory and the next generation comes out this year.

So unless you really need a card right now just wait a bit more.

They have been talking about card price drops for several months but on the entry level mid range cards they have roughly stayed the same for several months. I made the upgrade to the RTX 3050 when it came out. It wasn't cheap, 350 for shipping etc. today you still can't buy the evga base model 3050 for 250. I don't think you ever could. It's been sitting out of stock for months. And the 3060 has been between 400-430 depending on which brand for several months. I would have figured I would have seen the top end 3050 drop below 300 or close to 250 but nope. Same with Radeon cards. I'll believe the price drop on these types of cards when I see it

Wow 😮 I played on one of those recently. Dude anything 900 series and above would be a HUGE upgrade over what you have. Maybe try getting a cheap used GTX 1060 for 100 or less. I saw one on my Facebook market place for 80$ 😮

The reason why I say that is because of the picture quality will look significantly better on a newer card. The 500 series has some real image quality issues in various games compared to newer cards.

It's a good deal but, if you can wait a little, prices will keep falling. Falling faster than normal. We went from a GPU limited situation to a GPU excess situation. With new stuff right around the corner.

Excellent, the video card scarcity must finally be over - I see 4GB low profile used RX 550 video cards selling for between $65 and $95 again. Haven't seen those prices in several years.
