Discover Card is offering Discover Cardholders: 5% Cashback Bonus on Online Purchases at Amazon.com or through any Digital Wallets including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Garmin Pay (Valid on purchases made from October 1 through December 31, 2022) when you activate the offer by following the steps below.
Steps:
Go to Discover.com and login to your account
Go to the Cashback Calendar page
Click "Activate Now" for the offer Oct-Dec: Amazon.com, or Digital Wallets 5% Cashback Bonus
Make purchases at any of the following stores or wherever Digital Wallets are accepted to begin earning the 5% Cashback
so that's Amazon.com or just use your Digital Wallet including Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and Garmin Pay anywhere it's accepted for 5% back
Note: Cashback applies to purchases made between 10/1/22 and 12/31/22 only. Activate to earn 5% Cashback Bonus at Amazon.com, OR Digital Wallets from 10/1/22 (or the date on which you activate 5%, whichever is later) through 12/31/22, on up to $1,500 in purchases

I'm assuming DIscover has some way to internally recognize that transaction as digital wallet payment.

you usually have to log in to your online account and click the details of the transaction. once you do that, the right side of the screen shows Purchase Method and should show Samsung Pay with the amount earned. the statements will usually only show the amount credited as cashback in the rewards section for those transactions
