Bought this on amazon about a year ago for ~$39, so this is a pretty good price. Major thing I was looking for that most flashlights don't seem to have anymore is the simple on/off mode for the button press. I hate pressing the button to have the flashlight cycle through a high/low power mode, and then a strobe light mode when I just want to use the light as a light.

This flashlight allows for the button to be configured a whole bunch of ways, and it allows for a button press to just turn the light on and off, so this was exactly what I was looking for. The documentation for how to configure the flashlight isn't great, but once you figure it out, you can do a ton of weird stuff with it, like strobe at specific intervals/morse code when pressed/etc... Most of that stuff I didn't use, but i did like how it allowed you to specify exactly how bright/dim you wanted it to be, and it would remember your setting for next time, while still allowing for the button press to do a simple on/off. This link from the product page [staticdj.com] shows all the stuff you can set it to do... Very convoluted, but fun to tinker with if you care about that stuff.

There is a diffuser cap for this that makes it operate like a lantern [sofirnlight.com], I never used these before, but since I'm getting the flashlight anyway, I'm going to try it out, its $1.79. I ended up misplacing the original flashlight, so I've been in the market for another rechargeable one w/USB-C, so I'm glad to have stumbled on this, thanks OP.

I'm tempted to add yet another to my flashlight hoard.

One 'Sophysicated' flashlight 🔦

I actually own a couple of these and they are great. obviously a Chinese flashlight with typical ESL manuals.

Love my Sofirn HS20 headlamp. Was able to use in pool to find leak. Build quality seems great compared to my plastic headlamps. Just need to pickup more batteries and charger. I rarely use handhelds though this is tempting.

One light to rule them all. Seriously, it's an impressive torch especially considering it's size.

In the options, before you "Add to Bag", you'll see two options under "Style": "5000k with battery", and "5000k without battery"
