For those who are members, Costco does carry a MIPS helmet[costco.com]. It was about $35 online recently and now is up to $43, but it was on sale for $25 in store earlier this year. If the helmets are still available in store (they are a seasonal item), they should be cheaper than the current $43 online price.
How do we know that this helmet is genuine and not a knock off?
I purchased helmets from Amazon all the time, couldn't go wrong with 30 days free return period. Higher priced premium helmets are the targets of knock-offs, not this one.

2nd this. I bought them for the whole family. They even come with built in lights.

I suggest you to buy a reputable branded helmet, I have never heard that brand of Costco one, and the way Costco sells them left something to be desired; good helmets shouldn't be selling without outer cardboard packaging and shouldn't be scratching each others in a big container, like selling watermelons in the supermarkets.

I wouldn't buy a knockoff brand of something designed to protect your head from injury.
When I bought my helmet I used the info put out by Virginia Tech, and wound up going with the Lazer MIPS helmet for $70. Is saving $40 really worth it in the event you smash your head onto some concrete?
This helmet is super janky. Looks like they glued thin strips of plastic on top of the foam shell. Really low quality. The MIPS part is just a soft plastic inner liner.
