"The LG B1 OLED and the LG C1 OLED sit alongside each other in the 2021 LG lineup. They have many of the same features and performance, but they use different processors, which we don't test. The C1 gets brighter, but the difference isn't very noticeable. The C1 also has a wider refresh rate range because it has low frame rate compensation that allows the VRR to drop below 40Hz, which the B1 doesn't have. The B1 has much better gradient handling, so there's less banding in HDR content."
Main Differences:
B1: a7 processor, 2x HDMI 2.1
C1: a9 processor, 4x HDMI 2.1, C1 gets a little brighter
For $1612 LG C2 65" on eBay. Recent post on SD. $212 more going from B1 to C2.
The A80J is absolutely superior to this. Frankly at $1400 this is not a good price at all and I don't understand why this is frontpage. If it were a B2 it would be ok, but not great. The C1 has been $1450 before, and the A80J has been as low as $1297 at Costco and $900 for the floor model. I almost bought that but had no way of easily checking the total panel hours, which could be in the thousands considering how long it had been on display at Costco.

This vs. the refurb 65" A1 on Woot for $1000? I don't need any gaming features - movies and TV only.
If you have a Microcenter nearby, you're better off going for the C1 refurb at $1199 than an A1 refurb from Woot at $1000. My C1 from Microcenter was still in the original packaging and had 0 hours. This was posted before and many microcenters have been getting restocks of the C1. Denver store still has 3 in stock. Many others show multiple refurbs in stock. https://slickdeals.net/f/15768181-micro-center-lg-c1-series-hdr-4k-uhd-smart-oled-tvs-refurb-65-1200...

Yeah mine (three hours away...) has 6 in stock; considered it but still, worth it even if I'm not gaming on it?

Even if you don't game, the C1 refurb from MicroCenter is worth an extra $200 over an A1 refurb from Woot. C1 is brighter for movies. Also it supports black frame insertion, which the A1 does not. The biggest point would be you can pick your TV from microcenter. At Denver store, they had a few in original boxes, some in brown boxes. The original boxes had plastic strips still intact, so they don't appear as if they been open. I purchased one of the original boxes, and it had all plastic packaging and 0 hours on panel. So it appeared brand new. Also, the panel was the newer WBE/MMG/GZ. A big issue with refurbs will be hours on the panel. If you can get one with little hours, it's a much better deal than a refurb with 1000 hours. At some point, most OLED, will start to dim - or if you're unlucky burn in. With Woot, you don't know what you're getting until it arrives.

Thanks, didn't realize I could go pick out the TV I wanted from Microcenter - thought it would be a lottery. Next time I'm in the Houston I'll check out the store.

Eh returns are easy if it's got burn-in. Just wondering if for non-gaming use I can just go with the A1 for $400 less.
Assuming you didn't find a problem until after the return window and you're stuck with a $1000 TV that has serious flaws that you'd have to live with. Then there's the 90 days warranty on a refurbished TV, refurbished which means it originally had a defect. It's a gamble. Of course you might end up with huge luck and not deal with any issues on a refurbished $1000 TV but just to give you some perspective, Costco has this several times before -

https://slickdeals.net/f/15842593-costco-members-65-lg-a1-4k-oled-tv-100-streaming-credit-w-3-year-allstate-1000-free-delivery

Same price, way better warranty, brand new, $100 streaming credit, and delivered free just as well. Your money though, spend it however way want but I personally value my $1000 more than a gamble.

Now that's a good comment. Makes me realize that the B1 fits my needs just fine.

I believe the hierarchy is alphabetical with LG's current line. (Someone correct if from)

G > C > B > A

A doesn't get 120hz refresh rate I believe and G gets slightly higher brightness but not sure the difference between C and B

Edit: someone else said, C had better processor and slightly brighter
The G1 is the same as the c1 just totally flat like a picture frame. G is gallery series

I got a floor model a80j at BB for $999, but that's only because I could get the 5 year geek squad warranty with burn in coverage. Probably wouldn't risk it with Costco...

I thought the G had heatsinks that allowed slightly better brightness? Or is that only G2

Sorry, bud. I just realized that's a TotalTech price. I didn't realize that was one of the perks.
