"The LG B1 OLED and the LG C1 OLED sit alongside each other in the 2021 LG lineup. They have many of the same features and performance, but they use different processors, which we don't test. The C1 gets brighter, but the difference isn't very noticeable. The C1 also has a wider refresh rate range because it has low frame rate compensation that allows the VRR to drop below 40Hz, which the B1 doesn't have. The B1 has much better gradient handling, so there's less banding in HDR content."
Main Differences:
B1: a7 processor, 2x HDMI 2.1
C1: a9 processor, 4x HDMI 2.1, C1 gets a little brighter
For $1612 LG C2 65" on eBay. Recent post on SD. $212 more going from B1 to C2.
The A80J is absolutely superior to this. Frankly at $1400 this is not a good price at all and I don't understand why this is frontpage. If it were a B2 it would be ok, but not great. The C1 has been $1450 before, and the A80J has been as low as $1297 at Costco and $900 for the floor model. I almost bought that but had no way of easily checking the total panel hours, which could be in the thousands considering how long it had been on display at Costco.

Can someone explain why this is a good deal? Seems bad compared to even the bad C1 deals. C2 deals recently seem much much better.

Sorry, bud. I just realized that's a TotalTech price. I didn't realize that was one of the perks.
Might sign up for TT if it gives me a better warranty on the A1 and Applecare+ on a new iPhone later this month lol.

I just got the c1 a few days ago. I upgraded from the vizio p65.

There are some things the vizio looks better and a lot of things the c1 looks better. Both are 120hz native though.

You read all these stats on these TV's and sometimes it's difficult to understand if people are being overly anal about stats or it's a meaningful difference. One thing that I absolutely did not appreciate until it was in my living room, and is probably the most noticeable improvement, is the difference in motion. Both TV's being 120 native I didn't think it would matter much. It matters so much. We were watching a nature show and my kids were like "that looks real" and tried to touch the sea otters on the TV. Yet if I was to take a still shot of both TV's there wouldn't be much difference.i mean the goal of the TV is to be as close to reality as possible, and man does the c1 deliver that because of the motion clarity. If this b1 has any difference in the motion clarity, get the c1, because without that, honestly I think I'd prefer a top of the line qled.

I think the 2016 vizio p65 looks better watching these nature shows. The colors are just nuts. But it all gets trumped by the motion clarity of the c1. But then you go to put on a high color cartoon on disney plus, and the c1 has brighter and more vivid colors. Don't understand why.

The black aspect is cool, but I think it's overratted. It looks super cool when there's a black backround and it's just straight-up nothingness, but in real world watching, I'm just not seeing why this matters so much. Infact I just watched "nope" on it, I kid you not I could barely see the lead actors face (he's dark skinned)

Everyone asking why it's a good deal, it's not, plain and simple. This is Front Page because of the amount of kickback SlickDeals gets, that's all.

The G1 is the same as the c1 just totally flat like a picture frame. G is gallery series

G series can only be mounted and has a flatter profile but is also slightly better in terms of performance. The cost difference is mostly for the aesthetic for those who want a TV to be more flush with the wall.

Do they deliver to your home? Is the screen reflective meaning you can see the reflecting lights in your room on the screen?

So, what TVs do you recommend with size 65 inch or larger? Give different price ranges from say $500 (if realistic) but none exceeding $1,400. An important criterion for me is there should be minimal reflections on the screen as otherwise it drives me nuts. Thanks.

Here's Rtings lists of top TVs for minimizing reflections - the B1 is right up there.
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/p...and-glossy

If your putting the TV in bright room and want to go less than $1000, the 65 inch Hisense U8H is crazy bright and would drown out reflections. It's a lot of bang for the buck but definitely has some problems. The 65 inch LG B1, LG C1 or Sony A80J would be step up in processing and get you an OLED screen but you probably don't want those in overly bright rooms. (On various sales these run around $1200-1500). All these TVs support HDMI 2.1 and 120hz.

If you want to go into the bargain TV in the $500-$750, 65 inch Hisense u7G or TCL series 5 aren't bad TVs. . If you're looking for a larger TV, you could get a 75 inch Hisense u7G or TCL series 5 for $800-1000. In my opinion, I'd spend the extra for the Hisense u8H and TCL Series 6.

Thanks for all the options as well as the conclusion.

Separately, when I clicked on the link, I am confused by the ratings. Does a higher score in the "reflections" field mean good or bad in terms of minimizing reflections? As an example LG B2 OLED has the highest score. Does it mean bad or good?
Thanks.

The higher the score the better it is at minimizing reflections. The LG B2 would be the best.

If you have a Microcenter nearby, you're better off going for the C1 refurb at $1199 than an A1 refurb from Woot at $1000. My C1 from Microcenter was still in the original packaging and had 0 hours. This was posted before and many microcenters have been getting restocks of the C1. Denver store still has 3 in stock. Many others show multiple refurbs in stock. https://slickdeals.net/f/15768181-micro-center-lg-c1-series-hdr-4k-uhd-smart-oled-tvs-refurb-65-1200...
Got a counter-offer from the 'toe for a new 65" C1 for $1449 (incl. tax). The Microcenter refurb 65" C1 is $1299 (incl. tax).

Would a new 65" C1 be worth $150 more than a refurb?

Edit: I guess my three options are (incl tax):
  1. Woot refurb 65" A1 for $1083
  2. Microcenter refurb 65" C1 for $1299
  3. 'toe new 65" C1 for $1449
