So who owns one of these? Would like to get some feedback on how these are with smoking meats. I own a Traeger Pro 575 but wonder how these Camp Chefs are??? TIA

I have the smoke vault and I love it converted it to natural gas. Only complaint is that the door seal was very leaky so I put a gasket o I bought on ebay for high Temps on myself. I would imagine this has a much tighter seal then my vault.

Camp Chef has a big Facebook community. Very well liked products. I had a basic model. Had no complaints.

does anyone know if this has a quick release on the pellet hopper to easily dump unused pellets?

i have the pitboss tabletop pellet smoker and have to turn it upside down to empty the hopper but seems more appealing since it look like its a little bigger and more portable since it comes with its own stand to sit on.

This one is small and intended to be an on the go model but has the same amount of rack space because it has 2 full racks vs 1 1/2 on the DLX. You can add jerky racks to the DLX to triple the amount of space. It really depends what your goals are. I load up my DLX on the weekends and cook meat for the week or to freeze. If you add in side dishes space starts to become an issue. The DLX is going to be a heavier more robust smoker. Either one would be an excellent option.
You can always buy this one, see if you like it. If you do watch for deals on a bigger one and sell this one.

I highly suggest joining a few. I saved myself a lot of trial and error by reading and asking questions.

Who knew smoked cream cheese was such an awesome appetizer?

Also, most people don't realize these are basically convection ovens. I've baked bread and other items in mine with excellent results.
