It works great - but about 2-3 years later, the monitor became defective and unusable on 144hz setting. Common issue apparently, and multiple reviewers can confirm as well. The only workaround is that it works fine on 120hz.
Attempted to contact support for repair. Instead, I get stuck on hold with long wait times, and no follow ups or messaging from AOC support (also a common issue reported by reviewers).
I've pretty gave up on it - I'll just stay 120hz and wait for another monitor sale from a reputable brand to replace this one.
It's a good cross way for casual gaming and movies.
I suspect we may see more deals coming this BFriday though. I'm holding out for now, but this is really tempting.

The only thing lacking from any of these brands these days is factory tuning. The hardware isn't terribly different from one to the next.
for va panels, you need the calibrite probe, the datacolor ones can not read the black floor of va.
