Not terribly tech savvy, what are the advantages over the cm1000? I have Xfinity with 800mbps speed. I've been having problems over this summer with the modem requiring rebooting that I've never had. Thanks

Unnecessary product. Most services don't charge lease fees any longer and if they do, go on eBay and buy their modem refurbished for 40 bucks. And netgear support is horrible to say the least

Spectrum no longer charges for cable modems no matter what speed you get, what's even the point of buying one of these?

CM1000 is capped at 1gbps on Xfinity. While it's capable to do 2 bps with link aggregation, Xfinity doesn't support it. CM2000 has a 2.5 gbps port. It supports speed above 1gbps on Xfinity.

unless they give you a crap tier spec and features then that would be one of the reason to get these. just my IMO, im very picky with these things when it comes to ISP's.
