No, I think you can only have one companion at a time. Your best bet would be to have another adult do this promotion and buy ticket by 9/8/22. Check the low fare calendar. Some round trips are as low as $74.

Southwest has amazing customer service. My flight was at 5am.(airport an hour drive from me). They text me at 1am to say the flight is cancelled and basically good luck. So I had to scramble to book a flight with American out of the same airport. Naturally I booked through Priceline and they acted like they only had my outgoing but not my return flight so I only got half my money back. Never will fly with southwest again. Fool me once..

I was on a Southwest flight yesterday leaving from Las Vegas. Flight was delayed and after we boarded maintenance issues caused another hour delay. Plane was completely full and with the delay the plane was too heavy. They did not try to explain this, but excessive heat reduces lift for takeoff. So they offered 13 people a $1000 travel credit and free night hotel to take the same flight the next day. More than 13 people volunteered so they took the first 13 in line. I considered the offer generous and so did the 20+ people that volunteered for the offer. I know flying is stressful for people nowadays but it can be rewarding if you are patient and flexible.

Flights are often oversold or canceled. If your flight is canceled or especially if you are denied boarding you have rights as a passenger and the airline should try to help and/or compensate you. I have no complaints with Southwest customer service, when I consider that some things may be outside of their control.

I'll probably call them about this, but does booking a flight for someone else count as an eligible flight? I want to cancel and rebook my partner's and my one-way flight next week, but I'm guessing both flights have to be on the same Rapid Rewards account.

Already been answered 5 times in this thread. No, you can't book a flight for someone else and get the pass. You can, however, get them a pass if they register their account and you're booking their qualifying flights with your money. They don't care where the money comes from but at the end of the day, you as RR#12345 have to book qualifying flights and your partner RR#23456 has to also book qualifying flights.

We are going on a cruise within the time frame but we don't know exactly when. Can we purchase tickets to Miami or FLL and change them to the correct date later?

Oh I'm aware flight prices change and are generally higher than usual. I fly about 80 times a year. My pricing experience doesn't mean anything on its own, but when aggregated with others' posts it shows that maybe -- just maybe -- Southwest raised prices to accommodate this promo.

This doesn't matter much for those who can take advantage of it, but it does mean that if you aren't planning on being able to use the companion pass and need to travel in the next few months it may make more sense to wait and book travel after this promo ends.

I did this promotion 2 years ago, then the Chase Southwest companion pass and now this one. The wording on the Southwest website is confusing, so I just called Southwest and confirmed that since the end of July 2022 travel funds do not expire.

I'm sure they raised prices on some routes and dropped on others. But that's still how supply/demand works. I just don't see the point in complaining about it because this is how the airlines have always worked and will continue to work. Hell, other elastic industries work this way as well. Seems fruitless to attach an emotional response to it when you can say just as much with taking action or no action and move on.

just tried booking a flight for end of Jan. total comes out to be 97.96 per passenger. we have 5, so would it be $293.88 since it's BOGO. but instead it's showing up as 489.80. Frown
