i'm waiting for a 12600k deal, 11xxx was a let down...
they've been running the 11700k with the Z590-P Prime at 270$ for quite a while now.

So I've been out of the pc building scene for a while and I'm getting ready to build a new gaming computer. I was aiming for a 12600k and a Z690 motherboard.

I already have a 3070Ti, will this 11th gen chip be good enough for me? Or should I spend the extra money on a 12th gen?

What are you talking about? I can only see motherboard is shippable but not the CPU.

So you cant get the combo.

i'm waiting for a 12600k deal, 11xxx was a let down...

The 12600k will be faster in ST/gaming and MT, has an upgrade path to 13th gen, and optional DDR5. 11th gen also uses more power for less performance. So I would recommend going with 12th gen, like a 12600k or 12700f and pairing it with a B660 board.

The real benefit of this deal is the handful of people that need AVX-512, or people that care more about I/O than CPU performance (comparable Z690 board for 12th gen will be $180+).

This has been $200 for a few weeks. Im not sure if it still is, but per the multiple threads on reddit it was showing this price online but in store it was $200.As low as $175 with rebate.
