This is not listed on the Mr Chromebox website, probably because it's so new. But I am curious which routes to install other operating systems might be possible, if any. If you could install Windows on this like *some* Lenovo Chromebooks allow, this would be a smoking deal.

This specific model IS available at Lenovo [lenovo.com] for the MSRP. However, none of the coupons are working on it, except for EXTRA5, ID.me, and $100 off on first purchase, all of which would bring the price down to just $899. Even with the Amex offer it would still be more than the price at which it's available on eBay.

Also, no, as far as I know Lenovo doesn't price match their Lenovo eBay site.

Yes I saw that this was also on the Lenovo site but at MSRP. That is why I had commented if only they would price match their eBay site, then plus tax this would be over the threshold of the $500 Amex promo.

This is the very definition of a premium chromebook, from the (relatively, for a chromebook) high power CPU to the 8GB of RAM. In particular, this kind of chromebook excels at many of the edge cases for ChromeOS, such as running Linux applications in the Linux sandbox.

Most of the specifications that have been amplified to put this in the premium category have nothing to do with getting homework done or checking school e-mail... the biggest ding on this shouldn't be the quality of the display. Other than their OLED models, Lenovo doessn't have many noteworthy chromebook displays. Instead the gripe should be the lack of touch support, as this feature makes Android support seamless. At the same time, most of these specifications would be reasonable for a Windows PC at this price (also without touchscreen).

This is an amazing steal! This is a Lenovo Premium Think Branded product, similar to a Lenovo X1.


When people hear about Chromebook they think Chrome OS or Google. What is not well know is that it is a full fledged Linux computer that can handle everything.


A Chromebook is extremely useful for me with handling photos for work and web development.


I would highly recommend!
