Physical SIM tray could be critical, depends on your situation. For me, it's much more convenient since I maintain an oversea number for business. I can just put the physical SIM in and have 2 lines on 1 phone instead of carrying 2 phones.

With physical SIM tray, I can swap phone anytime I want to upgrade without worrying about activation or compatibility.

That's not possible. Tmobile one plans have been retired. Tmobile is doing all they can to convert ppl to their max plan.
