Glad your plan is so awesome for you! Everybody has side priorities, and luck. I walked into TMO after the merger into many free lines, hookup, etc. Good thing for me I no longer need to worry about international other than a random vacation every couple of years. . .

I have 9 lines, but if I added a 10th line to make it apples to apples, I would still pay much less than you do a month On Magenta Max, and including 2 x $10 unlimited data lines from separate business account (see thread on SD from earlier this year, if you want in). But I also get the best phone deals out, and an extra $4 off of netflix, $30 for my TMO home internet, apple TV+ free, and YTTV for $35 for a year, etc. etc. Those seem to be my priorities as I get older and and still have a "2nd round" of kiddos. . .

On the flip side, I was probably paying and fighting tooth and nail to keep (and wasted a few years trying to keep it) 4 lines GF unlimited VZW for $250 when you grabbed the SC plan for much cheaper. . .look how that was a waste of time for me in comparison lol

And in a few years, I will be crying "what, no love for Magenta Max" Circle of life and plans I guess. . .enjoy it while it's good for you

Buying at Costco doesn't extend the warranty. Buying with the Costco visa card (anywhere) does. Have used it successfully for years, including on iPhones. Forget AppleCare…

Use Wells Fargo for cell phone bills. Free insurance. That is the only reason I got the card and the only thing that gets billed to it.

It is an okay deal not a great deal.
The $1000/800 trade in that they give you is NOT all upfront, I think it's something like $300 upfront and the rest is spread over 2 years as credits every month.

If I move 5 SC lines (about $160/month incl taxes) to MM ($225 or so) i immediately save $2100. (I have 4x IPhone11 which are $800 on MM vs $400 on SC, and one iphone11pro max which is $1000 on MM vs $500 on SC). So if I move to MM for an increase of ~$50 month (Netflix credit/not giving credit for atv+) I get a $4200 credit instead of a $2100 credit.

An increase of $50/mo is $600/yr. That extra $2100 pays for more than 3 years of the MM cost difference.. and I usually trade in at the 3yr mark (best value for my phones usually).

I assume MM (or the next top tier plan) gets the best trade-in treatment in the future…. While I love my SC, this is a tough one for me…. Headed to Best Buy and Costco in the morn….

Usually they give you original trade in value towards bill and the rest is credits.Still good, you only pay taxes on phone any way, and specifically for long term t mobile customers is great.You can even ask them to unlock it and then sell it if desire so.They unlocked for me 2 phones that's still receiving credits on my account.

Pre-sale iphone 14 with trade-in on apple site is confusing.
Say you have SE2, apple will give you $100 toward the purchase of base iphone 14 pro ($999).

You pay the rest of $899, and need to deal with TMobile separately.

UPDATE: from a few people I learned that TMobile system has crashed, along with Apple pre-order when customer tried to link to TM.
Damn BestBuy for being so lame this year

Can someone clarify this for me, please? T-mobile support is so confusing…

I have an Iphone 13 Pro Max. If i trade it in with T-mobile, they'll give me $300 upfront and $700 in credits spread over 24 months ($29.16 per month), right?

- 6 months from now, if I decide to move on to another carrier, my penalty will be $29.16 x 18 (remaing months) for a total of $525, correct?

- If I stay with T-mobile for at least 12 months and upgrade it again next year, they'll forgive whatever I still owe and let me in the next upgrade deal…?

- All this requires the Jump! option which costs $5 per month?

- am I obliged to have tmobile 360 protection or can I just get Apple Care?

No, they charge you the whole thing on the installment plan plus tax on the new phone. They give you trade value of the trade in phone as the credit towards to the next bill. Then take it off your on your $1000. Whatever that left divide into 24 months credit. If you leave earlier, you forfeit bill credits. You need to pay it off in full on that bill. Jump! Option is gone. You are not required to get protection 360.

Yes.If you choose trade in value in credits, that's only option they offer now days you stuck with them for years.But if you plan on stay with them, you can use an phone for an year and then use same phone for next trade in with them for IPhone 15 for example, you can ask them to unlock it too and sell it as well, as long as you keep you're number the credits will be keep rolling.
