I have an Iphone 13 Pro Max. If i trade it in with T-mobile, they'll give me $300 upfront and $700 in credits spread over 24 months ($29.16 per month), right?
- 6 months from now, if I decide to move on to another carrier, my penalty will be $29.16 x 18 (remaing months) for a total of $525, correct?
- If I stay with T-mobile for at least 12 months and upgrade it again next year, they'll forgive whatever I still owe and let me in the next upgrade deal…?
- All this requires the Jump! option which costs $5 per month?
- am I obliged to have tmobile 360 protection or can I just get Apple Care?
Trade directly with apple for $720 (13 pro) and put the balance on a CC & pay it off in (3-6 months) or whatever you are comfortable with.
My case: I have iPhoneX that I got new from craigslist and used with ATT for 2-3 years. When I go to ATT site to unlock the phone it says that this phone has a pending installment plan and hence cannot unlock it. My guess is that it should be from the guy who sold the phone to me and ditched ATT without paying.
Question is: can I use this phone for trade-in?
Thats why its better to buy an unlocked phone from CL not locked.
I have an S21+ I no longer need (unlocked and fully paid off), and two XR's from the total-wireless ~$120 deal. I'm on Magenta Max two lines with regular iPhone 13's from the BOGO deal (bill credits of course) that we're happy with and don't care about upgrading to 14's.
But I wanna be able to unload those XR's and S21+ for cash, trading them for 14's and then selling the 14's/14 Pro's on eBay or whatever seems like the way to go, but I don't know how to go about it or what issues I'd run into.
Worried about: if the TIV is actually bill credits then could the 14's be banned/unsellable (not just locked to T-Mobile but locked to OUR account)? Would these upgrade deals affect the bill credits on the free 13? Would they force us to rather keep/use the 14's and then sell the 13's instead? (And then are the 13's unsellable because their bill credits were still going?) Can we not temporarily upgrade to the 14's but switch lines back to the 13's? Is it all no concern since some stores will do non-bill-credits deals?
My main concern is that pre-orders on Apple.com start now and if you don't get in this morning they're hard to find usually until November, by which the TIV credits-or-not of the Galaxy and XR might be knocked down a tier or worse.
I had messaged T-Mobile and the confirmed T-Mobile one amplified qualifies for the full 1000 credit. Also if you decide to move from one plan to magenta max they are running a new promo. Up to 1000 in visa gc
They told me to move to magenta max it would cost me 60 dollars more. Basically 10 dollars a line. Unlikely to do that tho
The $1000/800 trade in that they give you is NOT all upfront, I think it's something like $300 upfront and the rest is spread over 2 years as credits every month.
