One thing I like about T-Mobile is that they give large discounts for OnePlus phones. Paid $149 at best buy for OnePlus 9 a couple of weeks back and T-Mobile gives you $800 for it. Can't get near this amount anywhere else...

Wow… BestBuy trade in value suck this year. I would have rather had gone with them but between the website fiasco this morning and this, I went with T-Mobile. Geez…still can't even order the pro max on their website as of now ("coming soon") 🤦 ♂️

Overall the trade-in values aren't that great this year. Or maybe last year's trade in values were too good? It's slightly better than the apple store and it's instant credit.

I trade in my 13PM for the 14PM for $300 and tax. I also have a few bestbuy giftcards so it's ok I guess?

Yes, with gift cards and iPhone 13 it's not so bad, but for those with iPhone 11 or 12, may as well get the $1000 with T-Mobile if you're planning on staying with them for a couple of years.

Can One Plus Promo upgradable to One Plan Plus?
Yes, it is $15 per month per line. You need to keep each line with the promo on it active for 24 months per the terms of this promo, or else you lose the promo.

Supposedly, after 24 months you can revert back without penalty once the promo terms have been fulfilled. You can revert back sooner, but will lose the promo. When reverting back, it will not be to One Plus Promo, as that option will disappear since it was a grandfathered promo. At least that is what others have stated. YMMV.

A lot can happen in 2 years. If you do this, get it in writing by chatting with T-Force so 2 years from now T-Mobile doesn't screw you over.

I'm not doing it. I will wait for better deals down the road from Costco or BB that don't require screwing with my T-Mobile grandfathered account. If no deals materialize, I'm happy with my 13 for another year or two.

iPhone 14 has 8 eSIM slots. But a liked phone from any carrier will be locking all 8 slots

I seem to remember last years Best Buy promo with the extra $100 or $200 trade-in bonus didn't start until the following Friday when the phone was actually released.

Update: Looked at my orders from last year. I was able to upgrade from a 12pro to 13pro for $108 last year with a pre-order from Best Buy. Much better promo last year.

called and chatted with T-Mobile and did considerable research. I am looking at iPhone 14 Pro and the T-Mobile Magenta Max plan 4 lines, moving from AT&T after 30 years. I tried T Mobile 30 day free trial and it's all good and in fact better data rates than AT&T. Me and my wife are > 55 years old, so qualify for 55+.

So T-Mobile (and others) are taking pre-orders for iPhone 14 series.

Magenta Max plan (NOT Magenta Max 55+) is $170 for 4 lines because in that you get buy 3 lines, get one free (otherwise $200)
Magenta Max 55+ is $180 for 4 lines because it does NOT have buy 3 get 1 free
If you need less than 4 lines, Max 55+ is a significant cheaper option ($135 vs $170)
The Magenta Max and Max55+ plans come with 2 SD Netflix – with 4 lines or 2 lines. So, if you want 4 Netflix, then 2 separate Max55+ lines (Father +Son, Mother + Daughter) would cost the same ($90+$90 =$180) but get you 4 Netflix SD instead of 2 screens.
The Netflix deal is NOT an option (2 vs 4) with the Max+ plan as 2 lines with Max+ is $140 compared to 2 miles with Max55+ being $90.
Any Netflix plan can be changed to HD/4K with$8 per month more.
The activation fee is $35 per line, but on-line promotion would wave that
The iphone 14 Pro (128 GB) will cost $1000 one-time or about $42 per month X 24 months (zero interest)
The trade-in value for iPhone 12 Pro (128 GB) is $1000 with the deal, so basically you get the iphone 14 Pro FREE if you trade in your iPhone 12 Pro
The trade in gives your $360 one-time credit and then $15 per month for 24 months credit
The credit for trade-in NOT an option with one-time $1000 payment for iphone 14 Pro
Apple will give you only $420 trade-in for iPhone 12 Pro FYI
The new iPhone 14 Pro will come with 8 eSIMS, but the device will be locked (all eSIMs) to T-Mobile until the phone is paid off (24 months).
Magenta Max 55+ requires only one person over the age 55 years.

So, my conclusions are as follows:

If you need 4 lines and don't care about having more than 2 SD Netflix, go for Magenta Max 4 lines at $170 (Not Max 55+)
If you need 4 lines but want 4 SD Netflix, go for Magenta Max 55+ two separate accounts ($90 +$90), so for $10, you get 2 more SD Netflix
If you need less than 4 lines, go for Magenta Max 55+ # of lines/Max/55+: 1/85/65; 2/140/90; 3/170/135; 4/170/180
If you want an unlocked phone, forget trade-in. Get you phone from Apple.com.
You will get a free iPhone 14 Pro OVER 24 months , locked to T-Mobile for that duration if your trade-in your iphone 12 Pro
If you have other unlocked iphones at home, you can use those for travel as not every carrier in the world offers eSIM yet.
Basically, it is going to cost you $600 for an unlocked iphone or 24 months.

I would be careful with that move.
You can't revert back to free ONE PLUS promo if go to the paid $15 version. The option for the free One PLUS promo will be gone from your account once you upgrade.
I got this info from a T-Mobile care employee. I never upgraded myself so I can't be 100% sure but it does make sense since that promo is no longer an active promo.
