And then after signing up, we realized that most of the important U.S. Open matches were not on ESPN+. Only the less popular round one and round two matches, doubles matches etc. For example, the Serena Williams matches were not there on ESPN+. But other Round 2 matches were available. For the Serena matches you needed login via regular cable service, or a live TV service like YouTube TV.
We were so disappointed. What is the point of subscribing to a paid service, if there are further pay walls. I can understand pay-per-view content like special boxing matches etc. won't be included in a regular subscription. But what is the point of blocking a round two women's tennis match just because they knew that it will be a popular match due to Serena's upcoming retirement.
We are happy paying $10 per month just for ESPN, but that's not enough. We are supposed to pay $50 to $70 per month for a regular cable subscription otherwise we cannot see random matches which ESPN thinks has higher value.
It's such a stupid anti- consumer move.
I prefer to rent blu rays from Redbox for subwoofer heavy films above, but I'll bite for $2
Edit: Did anybody else get ""there was an error processing your payment" while paying. I wanted to switch cc but had to pick Paypal instead due one cc rejected by Disney.
