Costco also used to carry the Midea Duo 14k for $550 (pretty much the same AC as the OP), which went on sale for $400 earlier this year when I bought one. So if you don't need a portable AC immediately, you can wait for the Midea Duo to come back and hopefully go on sale, but I don't think that will happen this season.
Another option if you don't need one immediately is to wait for a reconditioned Toshiba on Woot, which again is identical to all these 14k Midea Duo clones. Woot had them on sale for $300 a couple of times. I bought two, and both arrived in perfect condition and have been working really well every day.
If you can't wait and don't care about Costco's return policy, then this is a decent price given the heat wave a lot of areas are experiencing. My Midea/Toshibas run almost all day and night (different rooms based on need). Paid for themselves by keeping us from running the main AC unit, which consumes 3.5-4 times more power than one of the Mideas.
Also, all the ACs I have mentioned above come with Wifi and can be controlled by the same Midea app.
Edit: Forgot to mention that the Midea Duo and Toshiba also have heat, which the Danby and this Whynter do not. It looks like the Danby and Whynter are the exact same model with different branding, just like the Midea Duo and the Toshiba are identical. All four have the same AC internals, with heat being the main differentiating factor.
There is one huge drawback that is the primary reason why we might send it back
It generates over a gallon of water an hour and you have to drain it every 45 minutes it's a super pain in the ass until I got a Sparkletts water bottle from my delivery service and had a drain into that instead and even then I can only go 6 to 8 hours before I have to swap it out and this is with Southern California weather mid 80s humidity.
The other issue is every other air conditioner in my house does not trip my breaker this one for whatever reason keeps tripping my 15 amp breaker I had to run a 10 gauge extension cord that cost 80 bucks from my kitchen 20 amp breaker into my living room where the air conditioner is sitting now

Costco did sell a 12k/10k Danby last year. I also bought one of those, but ended up returning it and buying the 14k Midea for $400 on sale and the refurbished Toshibas for $300 earlier this year.
Haven't hooked it up yet. It's a lot bigger than I expected. I hope it doesn't trip the breaker. That would be a bummer. Manual says amps are 11.9 but not sure if that's max at startup of the compressor or typical running amps.
