Golf With Your Friends is one of my favorite casual online games to play with friends, but it's not really a couch co-op game (have to share the controller when your turn is over)
The first game Overcooked SE -- does NOT feature online multiplayer. You must be playing the AYCE version of Overcooked 1 if you want to play online.
If you do not care about this, then buying the 2 games separately would save you ~$6. (Overcooked SE, and Overcooked 2 Gourmet Edition have their DLC's included)
Overcooked 2 has online multiplayer regardless, and I find it far more entertaining because they added the ability to throw ingredients, onto the floor, into pots/pans, into other players hands. This makes the gameplay much quicker and chaotic which is just more fun in the kitchen.
EDIT: There is a reason to buy ACYE for cross platform multiplayer that is not included in the base Overcooked 2
Highly recommend Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair. Excellent 2-D platformer; great music, perfect level design (made by the devs that made the original Donkey Kong Country games!), and overall an amazing time. An absolute steal for $6.

Anyone know if Overcooked Special Edition is baked into the Overcooked All You Can Eat game?
Do I need to buy both? Really want to give it a shot just trying to figure out which one
Edit: just noticed Overcooked2 on the list as well, what to do haha

Thanks for the heads up. Had no idea this game still existed. Played it on the PC ages ago. Wanted to snag it for the kids. Are the bugs problematic for local play?
Rogue heroes and worms wmd are both pretty good, in their own way...
Rogue heroes sort of a topdown zelda clone you can play with friends.
Worms is more competitive but very fun and relaxing to play against a friend. Kind of reminds me of pool, but with bazookas.
I second Rogue Heroes. Have spent countless hours on it. It's a roguelite Zelda clone with multiple classes that change your character's abilities. Fun even without a co-op partner.

Can Overcooked 2 in Switch crossplay with a friend who plays in Steam?
Just looked the publishers FAQ myself:
The base Overcooked 2 cannot play cross platform, but AYCE does support cross platform between PC (steam) to all consoles!
