I highly recommend anyone considering this deal to take screenshots of the deal, cart, checkout, etc. If I didn't have that information last year I would have been absolutely screwed out of $800 that I'm now receiving in bill credits. That $800 was supposed to be gift cards but after days of calling/texting for help I ended up in an Xfinity store where those printed screen shots and a helpful employee were able to at least get me those credits.

An additional reminder, if you want to preorder, you're limited to two preorders at a time. If your order is delayed this can knock you out of their promotional period so CYA with those screenshots of your actual order date/time and the offers at those times!

I want to sign up as a new customer but when I go to create an account asks for my phone number; sends the code; and says it's not on file… duh? I'm trying to sign up… am I missing something?

better than over 36 months most of the other carriers are offering on trade in, this is w/o trade in.

You'll only receive credits as long as you stay with the carrier. You can always move, but you'll lose out on any remaining credits on the account and I think the remaining balance will be due, which should allow you to option to have it unlocked.

Kind of lame that the prices of all the phones are $30 higher than if you bought directly from Apple. So really it's a $370 discount.

I just talked to them, they will throttle the living hell out of you after like the first 20gigs. You will be on dialup speeds at that point. It is extremely easy to go over that limit nowadays on the phones, absolutely horrible. I use at&t unlimited and no throttling, use about 200gb a month all for 75$ a month. Don't get played by going through a middleman like xfinity for a carrier. Xfinity does not have their own mobile towers, they rent from actual carriers.

What's the cheapest plan? This is a math problem for a single user. I'm on mint now for $15 a month. Every dollar over that multiply by 24 and that's the cost of moving to xfinity. Usually every one of these deals winds up being a wash.
Agree with your point of view! I get my kids a monthly plan according to their usage patterns (you can too) thereby giving myself a monthly discount. I calculated the savings and it's about $300 each year. Then I buy them iPhones at full price from Apple and make sure I use my Costco Visa card to extend my warranty to 3 years. One caveat...I tell my kids not to use their data plan for videos and to use it sparingly. Lastly, I sell the phones on Ebay so that my yearly phone cost per child is about $300 per year. Use this chart to create your own discount. https://airtable.com/shrraH105YVJ...ppBNtTZqUK

It's called being an MVNO and most people on SD are aware of this distinction. We don't all need $75 phone plans.

This is a really unique case... But I did want to pass a warning when dealing with XM if something goes wrong. I had purchased a iPhone 11 from them several years back and the phone was stolen during shipment. While in transit. I got a call from UPS saying we have a package for you but it's been ripped open and nothing is inside. I go and notify XM of this issue and they will not ship me a new phone until they complete their investigation and UPS sends them payment for the lost phone which took 2 MONTHS of back and forth calls with their CS team. A terrible customer service experience and swore me off dealing with them in the future. If you're buying a phone from them I'd really recommend doing it in person than online.

Has not been an issue, and well worth paying half the cost- $45 vs $75? Not everyone is going to blow through 20 gigs every month

I feel like it isn't a great deal if you're savvy enough to switch account holders with Xfinity every year in order to save $10-20 (or more) a month by qualifying for new customer promos... But if you're the only one at home and don't have someone to alternate with, I guess this is just OK. Have had bad experiences with Comcast though
Not necessarily; it depends on whether you have alternative providers in your area. In my case, there's an alternative fiber option. I do need to talk to their "cancellation" department every other year to get a 2 year price commitment on new customer promo terms; about half an hour to get the discount AND keep the XM service going; plus this time around jumped on their "add a mobile line to get $30 off internet" offer.

Before that, I did have the "Switch to partner" approach; every two years, I'd cancel, my partner would sign up...

My line doesn't qualify because it's a BYOD. Wonder if I call and threaten to cancel, they'll give me the new customer pricing. My other line does qualify, so I can at least upgrade my mom's XR, which badly needs it.
