So far all the Reolink cameras I have seen use more affordable and smaller sensors and do not do well in low light conditions
Very happy with the quality and ease of setup. I would recommend getting one of the 2 way audio cameras with color night vision, the color night vision acts like a flood light (you can turn it off completely, auto, or to come on per a schedule you can setup.), great for areas of your house that are dark, they are very bright...
Very customizable, there's even a buzzer that you can setup to make noise from the dvr when it detects a person (ie ours is setup to make an audible noise when someone is near the front yard).
I have the 2tb dvr with 2 RLC-811A cameras and 1 duo2 180 degree camera, currently get 10 days of 24/7 recording, it is expandable to 6tb internal and 6 tb external via esata. I did have a problem with the duo2 camera spotlights not coming on when person was detected, reolink support responded same day with new firmware update to fix the problem.
Quality is great, can read license plates in daytime 30' away on angle while cars moving 30mph.
PLEASE post your videos here of moving subjects .. I am eagerly looking forward to a good Reolink low light image capture of a moving suspect ..
Feel free to post at ipcamtalk, or if you like on youtube ( and I will be happy to share it )

Tri Level House .. that gets more challenging ..
Do you own the house?
If so, there are possibilities ..
Is there an attached garage?
If so, you can easily put a few IP PoE cameras from the Garage to the top of the garage doors with minimal work .. and then run a power line adapter to a small poe switch in the garage ..
If you have vinyl siding you can run some cat5e under it ..
What is an NVR?
Its a CPU in a box with software .. some have poe ports, some do not.
Not much different than running a PC with VMS software ..
various ways to solve this .. it's up to you which way you want to go.

Blink cameras is all someone really needs, and they're hundreds of dollars cheaper. So how is this a deal? I had to hit the thumbs down on this "deal".
Some people are fine depending on police to arrive to help them. Others don't leave their safety on the hands of others.
Same applies here, some people want higher quality video surveillance, etc etc incase they have to use the footage to identify the person or maybe get the license plate # of the video.
Others are perfectly fine with a more budget set up as long as it gets video and scares ppl off with their presence around the perimeter.
edit. I'm on the wyze cams, but this deal made me check out what reolink offers and I'm liking the offerings. will probably upgrade some time in near future

But for example its fairly dark out back and i can see idk 60ft easy. Granted youre not making out faces entirely or massive detail in full dark, but i doubt theres much you could do about that outside of spending crazy money..

Had to go IP cameras with high res, then drop it to 1080p to get the frame rate high enough to capture license plates from moving cars. If your cameras cant do that they're pretty much garbage and there wasn't a single wireless cam that could capture the license plate off a moving car (~20mph).
It's also incredibly easy to change the lenses on a real IP cam and get different fixed zoom levels that maintain clarity at high fps.

From Annke's description:
"The PoE camera offers unparalleled 4K clarity with the pioneering 1/1.2″ STARVIS CMOS sensor. This flagship sensor captures the most authentic colors in every frame, every time. The 2.8 mm lens with an ultra-wide 124° diagonal angle covers a lot of objects, perfect for monitoring large areas."
I believe this is a Hikvision OEM .. so should play well with a Hikvision OEM NVR, or since it should be ONVIF spec, also VMS software like Blue Iris, Milestone systems, .. even other NVRs on the basic ONVIF settings .. ( Reolink NVRs really like Reolink Cameras, so that is a bit of a downside of a Reolink kit .. harder to get non-Reolink to work with it .. )
So VMS software like Blue Iris basically makes your Windows PC into an NVR. A big benefit of this is you get a faster CPU / processing and more flexibility this way vs a NVR box from Hikvision OEM / Dahua OEM / other .. as most NVR boxes are designed to be as affordable as possible to reduce the cost point to the customer, and often you can hit the bandwidth limit of cheaper boxes if you have many 8MP cameras.
With cameras having gotten fairly affordable for the quality of image capture, I would definitely consider getting a couple .. even if just for watching wildlife ..
( many here on SDs have helped me with other topics, this is the one I can help others with in return )
Also, I found having a varifocal camera really is nice for setting the FOV you want ..
Lennonst points out another issue which I failed to mention earlier .. in addition to cloud dependent issues, WiFi can also be problematic. ( a lot depends on even the construction of the house / building here .. )
If you're comfortable and want to try a few wired ip poe cameras, feel free to make a post at ipcamtalk put up a picture of the front of your house and tag me ( AT mat200 there .. ) I'll take a look and let you know what I might try to do to get a couple of cameras up.
As I noted, if you have a attached garage at the front of your home, that is normally a great way to get at least a couple cameras to watch the driveway and perhaps walkway up to the front door.
