Not a great deal for t-mobile customers when compared to last year but all plans are eligible including the non-max plans. Hoping that during blackfriday a better deal would be released.
The max trade in value in t-mobile is for iPhone 13 Pro Max which will get you $800
Other trade in values
iPhone 13 Pro - $700
iphone13 - $550
iPhone 12 Pro - $525

Traded in my iPhone 13 Pro and looks like its $700 instant credit.
What some people don't also realize is that with instant credit like this, you get taxed on only the 300 vs full 1000 will bill credits or from apple trade in (which was only 600 trade in and $80 in tax).
Looks like a pretty solid deal to me!

T-Mobile sucks where I am. Had'm for 11 years until I moved and their service was poop. Switched to Verizon paying less money and getting better service.
Edit: I am trying to get the iPhone 14 Pro
The Best Buy/T-Mobile deal was better last year.

There are a lot of websites selling eSIM travel plans now. A friend of mine is traveling to Thailand soon. I told him to check airalo (other members may suggest other better websites). They have a 15-day 30GB plan for Thailand for $20. Sounds reasonable. Local SIMs are probably cheaper but with eSIM, you buy it beforehand and it's available for use the second you land.
eSIM opens up competition across the globe for travel plans. I once bought a plan from a carrier in Hong Kong and used it in Japan. All they needed were email address and credit card. We'll get better and cheaper options as we move toward eSIM only.
