Singapore's a good example (as I'm planning a vacation there). It's first world country by any standards but only 1 carrier, M1 supports eSIM, and that's on their postpaid plans. So I don't agree with the guy you replied to saying that you're totally screwed if you travel abroad, but there's caveats to the solution as well which makes it a bit of a hassle 😅
Awesome place to go for vacations, but Singapore has eSIM support for prepaid. Just search on google. I was there at the beginning of the year and cost me around $14 for some days.

Looks like it's instant credit, and you give the old phone directly to BestBuy without worrying about mailing it… the $300 left over (if getting the $1099 iPhone 14 Pro Max) is an installment payment to T-Mobile for $24 months. So total out of pocket to bestbuy is just Tax or about $110 for me… I just wish the T-Mobile system verification during checkout is working so I can complete the pre-order purchase.

Yup, they do from M1 I believe and only for 1 plan. Great if you're staying there for a week or so. I'm planning a month 😂

I assume your prepaid was also from M1? Or did you go with another MVNO?

I was not asked for any paperwork. By lasting days, I meant it was time limited and then it was time to go reload it online. I was there 2.5 months. Have no idea which carrier was it, but my boss would just refill it online and no issues at all.

Yes. It's dual eSIM now. But what's good about the eSim is that you can store multiple sims, but only use two simultaneously.

When I went to check out this deal yesterday on the Best Buy site, for Tmobile and trading in a 13 Pro Max, it was pay $299 now with $800 credit for the Pro Max. So it's instant credit and you can pay off phone immediately. No bill credits required. I'm not a customer, so I'd have to start a new line as a new customer. But if like last year, you can cancel immediately. Haven't seen too much about that part yet.

Thanks! Seems like they might have changed some things, on the M1 site (https://www.m1.com.sg/mobile/prep...ourist-sim) only the $12 Tourist Prepaid is eSIM capable and that only has a 7 day validity 😭 The ones with longer validity are not eSIM capable

did anyone pre -order Apple iPhone 13 last years at Best Buy and got it one time? As they promised

I just pre-order mine it said will ready on sep 16. I am not sure it will arrive exactly on launching day at Best Buy


Last time, I pre ordered Samsung s22 at Best Buy and delayed for almost a month.

Same here. The $800 value they are giving for the 13 Pro Max makes no sense. According to them, the device depreciated $400 in a single year (initial cost 1099+tax so around 1,200). If it lost so much value in one year then the device will be worth nothing in 3 years. This is pure BS.
Also the changes between the 13 and the 14 are so minor that I am having a hard time justificaing the cost.

I will hold on my 13 until they give us a better value for it.

Thanks! I was able to change from installment plan to full payment. I can confirm the $800 credit is instant. So out the door price at Best Buy is $300 plus tax of phone. They will take my old iPhone 13 Pro Max when I pick up the new phone.
