Yes, RTX 3050ti is plenty powerful for Fortnite. Does he already have a monitor or TV to play with? And if it's just for Fortnite, the Xbox Series S is a great alternative for only $300 and is much quieter than any gaming laptop when running games. Just fyi. 😀

i compare this to the Gigabyte G5 that was 600 after rebate in April. Would like to see a little lower and keeping my fingers crossed for BF.

I've been watching this forever. Looks like the W11 is this price, and the W10 variant is still $999 less the 12%. At $766 after taxes (I'm in NYC) for a 17 inch with these specs it seems like an amazing deal. I'm not much of a gamer so the 3050Ti is enough for me.
