Theyre pretty great. I always feel so rewarded when I wash my motorcycle and car. Bike turns from beautiful blue to white, is just fun I dunno. Makes washing easy since youre not really worried about your bucket of soap. I rinse with water, foam, rinse, foam, use a mitt, rinse. First foam to get any stuff thats not too stuck on to break free and come off, then really get a good wash with 2nd foam and mitt from a bucket.

The downside to these designed this way is the small mouth where you add the foam soap. The ones with the larger mouth are easier to fill with less of a chance to spill when adding soap.

You can. I have actually used regular car soap in a cleaned out miracle grow sprayer before I purchased a foam cannon. Chemical guys, Adams, Armor All, Meguiar's, Rain-x and many others make a special wash for foam cannons.
