WARNING - REAL LIFE EXPERIENCE. My iPhone 13 wasn't unlocked by Visible after 90 days, and is permanently locked to their network.

I bought a iPhone 13 Pro Max with the same deal for Visible last year. They messed up the activation, and the phone was never unlocked. I spent hundreds (not an exaggeration) of hours on hold, writing emails, escalating to Verizons tech support and customer support, and it was never solved. They apologised, but could never solve it.

I'm trading it in ASAP on a iPhone 14 from another source.

Buyer be super-aware on Visible locked devices. If anything goes wrong, they cannot and will not fix it. Verizon cannot do it either.

But most of those are monthly bill credit in which you gonna stay with them for the longer period for higher plan prices. With Visible, you are good for to port out in 60 days. $30 unlimited data text for single line.
Not necessarily - Visible isn't the lowest priced option for service - and using this deal isn't the lowest cost way to get a new iPhone.

In my case - I'm on Xfinity mobile with multiple by-the-gig lines; XM's upgrade offer has $400 off not just the iPhone 14's but also the 13's and 12's. Yes, it's bill credits; but since I'm already on XM with a total cost of ~$22 per month for 5+ lines (that's about $4 per line per month) - I have no problem with getting bill credits for the cost of the device.

Even if I were to go for the iPhone 14 at $829 - I'd pay nothing more for service over 24 months, I'd pay the taxes upfront on the phone cost now (which I would with Visible also, so it's like-to-like) - and I'd pay $430 over 24 months instead of paying $730 now. Yes, I wouldn't get the Airpods; but IMO that isn't worth paying $300 more.

You'll find the XM iPhone deal here - note this is a frontpage deal.

https://slickdeals.net/f/16028359-xfinity-mobile-iphone-12-13-14-400-off-new-or-existing-customers-until-10-6

If I did want to get "unlimited" service - since I already have more than 5 lines on XM, I could upgrade any of my lines to XM's unlimited plan at $20 + taxes per month; still cheaper than Visible's $30 per month - and get the iPhone14 at $400 off as discussed above.

You'll find the discussion on the XM unlimited lines here - also a frontpage deal.

https://slickdeals.net/f/16025845-xfinity-mobile-unlimited-plan-for-minimum-2-lines-is-30-per-line-exclusive-to-xfinity-internet-customers

Or - if you're a T-mo customer who's got multiple free lines and therefore an effective cost of $20 per month per line for Magenta Max (comment from another SD'er on a different deal : link here
https://slickdeals.net/f/16025947-boost-mobile-iphone-se-2-89-99-good-trade-in-for-free-iphone-14-at...

- you can get on the T-mo "get the iPhone14 on us" offer (link below)

https://slickdeals.net/f/16030495-t-mobile-website-iphone-14-pro-on-us-via-24-mo-bill-credits-with-eligible-device-trade-in-magenta-max-or-magenta-plus-999

Yes, there's a trade-in involved; but you can trade in a used iPhone X / XR / XS / 11 (which you can buy used for around $150+); you'd get the rest as bill credits, so your only cost is the cost of the trade-in phone ($150 ish) and the taxes on the new iPhone 14. And since the cost for service at $20 per month per line INCLUDING taxes is a lot better than Visible's $30 per month, the overall deal works out significantly better than Visible's offer.

I repeat my earlier comment :

For someone who values the airpods and wants to get an unlocked phone within a reasonable period (within 60 days / 3 months) - it may make sense.

OTOH - for those on other providers who have offers right now including trade in / discounts, it's not as good.

How does eSIM make it harder to port out a number?
do not buy a phone with esim, especially if you want to stay with Verizon or Visible. You will have to call and expect to talk to a rep for hours. Also if you want to switch a phone, you will be on hold for a very long time and you may have to pay extra for a sim. Apple is selling only an esim iphone14 in the US because they don't want you to switch to Android and it's just pain to switch when you activate an esim....unless Apple did something at their end with Verizon to make it easier. Also if you are like me, who travel overseas often, esim is just so useless and you would have to buy another new phone.

Same. I'm still on Visible as well, it works great for 25/month. Checked phone, states no SIM restrictions. So Visible unlocked mine even though I am still with them.
I have a second phone with them as well. Two for 50 is a great deal. I'm glad to be grandfathered.

If you do that you will lose your party pay discount. They are discontinuing Party Pay. Current membership is locked in at the $25 per month rate. You will be forced to choose the $30 or $45 per month plan with no option to join party pay.
eventually everyone will be forced to picked 30 or 40$ plan by this January they completely discontinuing party pay.

Why is this deal downvoted so much? Genuinely curious as it doesn't appear to be all that bad

Wow, I just read a few posts on Reddit about Visible's eSim feature and looks like a shit show.

The standard iPhone 14 has the mandatory eSim feature but it looks like the Pro series will have pSim and eSim combination.

Just wondering, if we buy the iPhone Pro 14 from Visible, will it come with a physical SIM or will they preinstall the eSim anyway?

My theory is the (still) misleading title is the problem, as has been pointed out already.

The deal looks good, but it is not $630, either before or after discounts/GC rebate.

The OP is counting the GC as cash savings and does not specify the price that they list is after all the dust settles and if you count the GC as cash back or off, which it is not.
So it can easily be considered misleading.

OP is new at posting. Had they phrased it properly, I expect it would be FP-worthy. I am not TD'ing because I know they meant well. If a mod or OP would correct the structure, it still can be turned around.

Apple's product information clearly states that none of the 14 models sold in the US market, including the Pro, is compatible with physical SIM cards.

Crap! Hopefully one can disable roaming on one eSim and enable it on another, for those of us who travel internationally.
