I bought a iPhone 13 Pro Max with the same deal for Visible last year. They messed up the activation, and the phone was never unlocked. I spent hundreds (not an exaggeration) of hours on hold, writing emails, escalating to Verizons tech support and customer support, and it was never solved. They apologised, but could never solve it.
I'm trading it in ASAP on a iPhone 14 from another source.

I managed to ask the customer service about porting in and esim.
So at the checkout you will need a new number, but they assured me not to panic.
Once upon receiving the device, I can start the port in process.
