    Very true, they are dedicated to the cause of finding things to eat. It's almost entertaining when you try to find ways to stop them. Squirrels could get into Fort Knox if they stored corn or Sunflower seeds.

    The feeder itself is not the place to try to stop squirrels. If they can reach the feeder, they're going to eat. The key is using a squirrel-proof pole placed far enough away (~10 ft) from any tall object. I've been using a Squirrel Stopper Deluxe [amazon.com] pole for close to 15 years and have never once had a squirrel access the feeders hanging from it. The squirrels happily eat any and all fallen food, which is plentiful.
