I have 2 of these hoses and the reviews are correct, on both of them the end handle came off almost right away. I used some e6000 on one, but that only lasted about a month and it came off again. For now, I have used some black duct tape to keep the pieces in place. Other than that issue, the hoses have held up well.
These hoses are perfect for watering your yard on the weekend... in Chicago.
It's a completely different hose. The Flexzilla has a Max. working pressure at 70°F: 150 psi, whereas OP is 600psi. It's also 10' shorter than the Kevlar one. The Kevlar one is fabric, the Flexzilla is a polymer. The Kevlar weighs 2 pounds less (5.5lbs vs 7.5lbs).

I bought this one from costco store in the past. It was maybe $50. It has performed well and would buy another to replace a different hose we have on the the other side of the house if it fails.

How do these compare to the Craftsman lifetime rubber hoses that are no longer available? Those were the absolute best for my usage, but I could use another.

Ive had a craftsman hose for 20yrs. They dont make the new ones the same. Im still pissed about the 50' one i lost in a move.

I bought one this summer that was branded " Briggs and Stratton" and it was almost as good as my awesome black rubber craftsman hoses. I think I'm going to stick with that hose brand for now and not take a chance on this one.

Might be going a bit far - as I mentioned above, there are tradeoffs. The volume is significantly reduced - I know it says 5/8", but it's certainly less and the flow shows it. Multiple reviews on Costco's site point this out as well. The tradeoff is weight - so you're not lugging around a heavy rubber 3/4" hose, but you're not getting the flow you would out of one either.

That, and I can't speak to longevity. I've had it a few months. So far, it looks like it's held up pretty well, but I don't know that won't change over the winter or the next 6 months. Considering it's got Costco's backing, it's worth the risk if you're looking for a lighter hose at the expense of flow rate.

I see. Thanks for the info. My biggest issue with non traditional hoses is the flow rate. I can't stand hoses that restrict the flow rate. So thanks looks like I'll pass. I currently have a hose that constantly gets kinked when being used and winding it back up on the floor is a pain as it always twists. Looks like I'm still on the hunt for another hose.

Will it survive my German Shepherd? So far only the metal hoses have withstood her excitement about watering the plants.

Good point. Although obviously the ability to return something 2+ years down the line is a big reason we shop @ Costco!
Costco customer service is low class workers.

Went to do a return they treated me like a scam artist after talking about the last time you returned something was three years ago.

Rubber one is the best. Mine last almost 6 years in front yard. The Costco brand in backyard was cut short and inserted with brass fitting few times.

I always just buy the cheapest of these, they all bust within a year. When they get hot the inner hose melts to itself, then the next time you turn on water they blow.

They all catch buyers by focusing on the exterior fabric, yet still use cheap rubber hoses inside. The fabric doesn't matter one bit as it will never live long enough to be necessary.

Am curious how this compares to some of the no-name Amazon fabric hoses that have brass connectors? This one is same price but 100' instead of 60'. Are these garbage?:
https://www.amazon.com/Expandable...08YJ9T183/

I returned two of the Costco Kevlar hoses and got a 75 foot expanding hose very similar to the one you posted. The plastic fittings were what I disliked most about the Costco hose and leaked right out of the box. The brass fittings are far nicer and all in all I prefer the expanding hose in every way.

Same here. I bought many type hose until use the rubber hose from sears. It seems last forever in the hot valley in California. Sadly, the sears is closed!

Not a bad deal but I bought two of these hoses because I'm tired of the amazon ones failing after 6 months. These are better in some ways, but they kink way too easily and the plastic piece on the nozzle end comes loose and just floats down the hose. Plan on returning.

Almost all hoses are riddled with bad reviews. This one is not an exception. WIll give this a shot and return if it fails.
