If this was FHD, I'd agree 100%. But this is QHD with 1ms response time. At $115, that's not too shabby -- especially since they're tacking on a 2-year warranty.

The one in this post is clearly a productivity monitor not a gaming monitor so there is no reason for them to make it faster than 75 Hertz

the one thing i have read a lot about this monitor is that the DP on it is trash. when it goes to sleep often you have to unplug it just to get it to come back up. the HDMI works just fine though from research.

Solid deal for a second monitor, but 250-nits is terrible for a main screen. Spend an extra $70 for the sake of your eyes.

The frames are thin on 3 sides but a THICK black border around. It's annoying on dual monitor setups. 24in one is better and very thin boarders.

Only the ZERO frame works if you turnoff the monitor and watch.

250 nit might be ok, but reviews on Amazon complain their monitors don't wake up with DP or hdmi。 I will not take the risk.

Picked up a refurb Acer 144hz 1440 monitor some time ago from a previous slickdeal... Pretty sure it is 250nits as well. It has been sufficient for me. Just posting to say that my experience with their refurbs was a good one.

Tempted to get this for my study area, but I've seen many older monitors free on fb marketplace... decisions, decisions...

Edit: only annoying thing to me about my monitor is that if it ever goes asleep, my computer will ask me to change my sound inputs and outputs

Unfortunate. I have a Acer B276HUL and gas the same issue. I usually power cycle the monitor for DP to detect if switching inputs.

I got the Walmart version of this some time ago on a SlickDeal and use it as my primary home office (work + light gaming) monitor.

It's been awesome so far. My only two complaints have been: a) it has a lowest brightness setting that isn't backlight-totally-off, and b) the highest volume of the speakers is too quiet.

I only use the HDMI port. Have not had any trouble with it waking up or falling asleep. I do have Displayport capability on my PC but haven't tested it on this monitor yet.

For the type of gaming I do (3rd person shooters and strategy games), it has been perfectly fine. I have an NVidia card and this monitor does not have GSync, only Freesync (for AMD cards), but it doesn't affect my gaming at all.

Just an FYI but I received a different "certified refurb" monitor from them and nothing was protecting the screen itself. Mine had scuff marks on the screen that I had to wipe off. It also had a deal pixel about 1" left of the center of the screen. I contacted the seller for a replacement and they don't do exchanges. He said they can only do refunds on refurbs. The box was huge. I bet you could fit a 42" or 50" monitor in the box. Even so the screen was pretty secure in the box with molded heavy duty bubble wrap on either side of the screen. The bubble wrap was why the screen was scuffed.

Anyone that has this monitor (and works with photo/video) that can speak to the quality of color reproduction?

How does this compared to

https://www.costco.com/acer-29%22...93641.html

Edit: Sorry just noticed the resolution is lower compared to the one on ebay.
