Probably more of a hassle than it's worth for some, but from this thread, Samsung is selling the Watch 4 for $117 with EPP - EDU discount.
They are giving $145 for trade in of a Watch 4 (40mm or 44mm) toward a Watch 5. So also using EPP - EDU you could get the Watch 4 for for $117 then immediately trade it in on the Watch 5 for a total of around $226 for the 40mm or around $28 more for the 44mm.
They have a grace period on the trade in so you can probably order both at the same time and just send in the Watch 4
