Same here. Rtings actually did a head to head comparison between this Gigabyte and the C1:

I would consider this if was guaranteed to be $600. Rebates through Newegg have been a crapshoot for me. I've sent in five $15-$20 in the past year. On two of them I got the rebate, one of them responded and claimed I didn't send in the upc code, and on the other two I just never heard anything back.

I moved from a 48" curved Samsung TV to two 32" curved Philips (one 4k, one 1440p) monitors mounted together on one stand. I like the two 32" a LOT more than the single 48" as it is more natural to look left and right rather than up and down. Also, with a 48" monitor, you really want a curved display unless you are sitting really far from the monitor (like 4ft+). I find it hard to go back to a 32" or larger flat display after getting used to curved panels. Just so much easier on the eyes.

200 dollar new egg rebate? I feel like I'd have better odds just putting $200 on red. Newegg has repeatedly shown what kind of company they have become

What will I miss out on since the HDMI port doesn't do the full 48Gbps?
This or the TCL 55 inch r655?

Can be this mounted on an Amazon's premium monitor arm (which is a rebranded Ergotron LX arm)?

Had anyone moved from 2 1440's to 1 large display like this? I have 2-24" 1440's (100hz) that are almost 8 years old now and since it's quite hard to find that in a 24" footprint now, wondering if this would be better off an upgrade.
Currently running a 3070 ti and game.
I have a 43" 4k Hisense TV that I use as a monitor.

I bought the 49" AOC 144hz 5120x1440 (Dual 1440p) recently. I tried it as my main monitor for 3 weeks...and just didn't like it as much. Content works much better in 4k, snapping 4 1080p windows perfectly is great....

I switched back from the ultrawide and went with the cheap hisense 4k even though it didn't have 120hz. I just like the experience more. This ASUS would be perfect, so I'm probably going to bite.

I thought technology rebates were made illegal after all the 2000s shananigans by Best buy and circuit city?

Rebate is only eligible for purchases made from Newegg. Go to gigabyte.rebateaccess.com and enter offer number 94637 to see more details on the rebate.

What? No, they never have been illegal. Maybe you are thinking of gift cards that expire?

I really want an OLED monitor for gaming but I work from home and use static elements on screen for 8 hours a day. I'm worried about burn in over the next few years, if I spend this much on a monitor, I'll want it to last 5+ years.

I think it will just be limited to 4:2:0, 4k, 10-bit, HDR. But has a display port that would be ideal if you are using a PC. If console the console has some settings you can update to work with this setup.

I too got the 49" AOC (for $400) and just couldn't handle the ultrawide incompatibility with most games I play so it went back to Amazon. Fantastic price but I learned less is more.

Just got this a week ago. It's fantastic. I have no complaints. Was a bit scared based on what people were saying but so far it's awesome. It's really like a tv and really dislike having a remote for it. Usually my monitors go to standby but with this thing I'm so afraid of burn-in that I have to consciously turn it off and on every time. First world problems lol
