I have had these for about a year. They start out bright and last for many hours. After about 6 months they have not been as bright and die after 4 hours of darkness. I suspect if the batteries can be replaced that would fix it but how much is that going to cost vs brand new set?

Have these. They look great and add a bit of textured light to where they sit. Nice for lightly illuminating a dark yard/path but don't expect bright lights. Great for ambiance without the wires. Can't speak for durability yet though. Each light has 2 (IIRC) AAA rechargeable batteries in it that you can replace.

Had these for 3 years now. 5 of 6 are just as bright. 1 I had to replace the battery. Super easy to replace. 3 small screws, and you pop out the AA rechargeable battery. Replaced with a Rayovac rechargeable. Would definitely buy again

There is no cord, they are independent from each other.
Thanks!

We have a few sets of these. Nice bright and attractive light pattern. Time will tell how many seasons we get out of them, but the Costco return policy is there as a backup.
+1. Bought 2 sets last year, still looking good and running fine, using solar and recharhable batteries.

I've had these for a year now and they've been in the Chicago snow last winter. Still work great

I've owned a set for over a year or whenever this first came out. 3 out of 6 of the cover of the solar panels turned white, like they were oxidized. I was able to sand it off with #1200 grit, so it's not inside the panel cover. We live in central Ohio, so no extreme heat or cold. I wonder what caused it and if any of you who owns it had similar issues.

I've had these in my backyard for multiple seasons in the hot AZ sun. As a previous user mentioned, over time the solar panels will degrade and this has an impact on performance. Nontheless, I continue to see hours of light output from all units, despite them being in direct sunlight and rain—not to mention the fact that they're regularly soaked by my irrigation system. They have held up well and are well worth the price.

I feel that this is subjective and preferential. My backyard is pretty nice, if I may say so myself, and I feel that these pieces add a perfect amount of ambient lighting with decorative patterns that mimic the appearance of tree branches. We get compliments on the appearance regularly. But again...it all boils down to preference. Just my two cents.

One thing to take note is that these are only 12 lumens. For about the same price, you can find solar lights rated at 50 lumens or higher on Amazon, which will be quite a bit brighter and good for actually lighting up steps, etc. The tradeoff is of course questionable quality and much shorter return window.
