I have this. It's amazing. It has the shortest delay possible with a camera, considering the camera has to wait to see an image before projecting the color, rather than an HDMI sync box that can respond instantly. However, as soon as the camera sees the image, the colors change. It's super close, to where you won't notice it unless you're just staring at the lights. It's like a millisecond. This basically gives everything more depth. I wouldn't be able to go back to not having this. Also, a big advantage that this has over sync boxes is that, because of the camera, you don't have to swap HDMIs and it works on everything you're watching. Sync boxes require HDMI, so you wouldn't be able to use it with built-in TV apps, if you use those. You would also have to keep getting up to plug different things in, depending on how many devices you have and how many ports the sync boxes have. The Philips one is also hundreds of dollars, though there's a budget one called FancyLED. I honestly can't say enough good about this, though. For the price, there's no beating it. I also always forget the camera is even there. I thought it was really going to bug me, but that hasn't been the case. You don't even need to attach it to the TV. Some people have hidden it in a decoration under their TV. As long as the camera can clearly see the screen, you're good.

I have another version from Govee without the light bars. Works awesome 👌.
Specially while watching action movies. The backlight gives amazing effects.

I have been wanting this but without the light bars, I don't have the spacing it suggests and am worried about interference with the camera. Has anyone else had camera problem with close spacing?
try putting the bars on the back left and right side of your screen just behind the strips pointing outwards but slightly at the wall.

Highly recommend this kit. I have this setup with a Govee rope light placed behind my media stand below my TV. It can be a pain to calibrate properly but once you got things dialed in it produces truly amazing results (especially in a dark viewing room). I would utilize Youtube videos when setting up the calibration. There are even videos with digital markers on the corners of the screen so you don't have to put the adhesive calibration blocks on your TV.

The DreamView Kit does have some limitations though since it utilizes a camera and not a direct signal. Screen reflections can seriously hinder its performance. It also struggles with color accuracy if its a dark scene and the room you're watching in is bright. It tends to make blacks and dark browns a super bright red which can be distracting. With that said for this price its a steal

I have the original light strip version of this, how does this compare? I absolutely love this technology! Game changer for movies and games.

If I have a TV mounted on a chimney that's covered, can I mount the bars directly behind the TV on each side of the chimney? Will it have the same effect?

What is a "fake newbie?" 😂 I have a ton of Philips hue and Govee and can only speak good about Govee products. This is a good deal? Look at the price difference for the equivalent of other products….your comments you've made have no value to the discussion. Are you that bored?

You might be able to achieve OK results if you angle the bars perfectly but the main point of the light bars is to increase the light coverage several feet (usually to the left and right of the TV). For the best results Govee suggests you place the bars 20" inches away from each side of your TV. I've seen some people place them behind a media cabinet pointed up at the TV and it produced a cool effect. I think if you place the bars behind the TV you might get hotspots since the light-strip is already going to be illuminating light/colors. So it might just be overkill. Govee sells a kit that doesn't include the light bars that might fit your setup better but its the same price as this bundle currently with its coupon discount

The only issue I have with the camera is that it requires to be connected to the internet use.

I did however blocked the IP address from outgoing through my wifi settings and it still works great. I highly suggest this unless you like being watched…

can i put the cam on the bottom?
if so, any idea how far away (height and depth) the cam sticks out for a 70 inches TV?
I have two of these. On my smaller 55" TV in den, it's on top. On my 65" I found it worked better on bottom and was easier to install, since it's already on high medium cabinet. No issues either way, and setup/calibration of camera is nearly the same.
