Oof. The toxicity is bad enough, but to not even look at the video before replying?

For others, I've got an Insta360 One X2. It's great, but it's very different from a GoPro. The stitching is impressive, but imperfect. Great for capturing 360 videos for direct upload or for when you want to select the target and convert to a regular video. However, you'll get lens flare as the camera moves, and some artifacts around the edges of the lenses. So, if you want to shoot a video where you're focused on a single thing, a regular GoPro will give superior results.

The R3 is pretty impressive and does some cool tricks for sure. But the killer feature on the GoPro 11 is across the board 10-bit color recording. With the accessibility of color grading on phones, this will give people a lot more room to get a closer-to-cinematic level of polish to their videos. The only other action cam that also can record in 10-bit color is the Insta360 Titan.

For anyone curious about 8-bit vs 10-bit and what 10-bit can do for your final product, BH Photo Video made a good explanation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNy24_XD38o

Have always been a GoPro fan since v1.0. Didn't upgrade every model, though, and last stopped at 8.

Just checked and I do have this Amex offer, and with its forward-facing screen, I may jump on this. Need to first see some reviews about the overheating issue that seems to plague these later models, though.

DJI action 3 seems the better deal if you don't care about the 10 bit color(DJI is supposedly going to unlock this at some point on the 3). Extra vertical resolution(I'd rather have extra horizontal dont post TIK TOK) or high res pictures(I don't use Action cams for pictures).
DJI would realease 10bit Firmware in OCT.
Youtube comparison shows GOPRO11 have better color and Stabilizer but weaker dark-night performance.

GPRO also still overheats whereas I haven't heard that the DJI has the same problems now. I do like the idea of the subscription however. DJI Bundle also has awesome accessories for the same price as the GPRo 11 alone.

That is sick!
Just on paper. It's a POS. It overheats 2 minutes after turning it on. I'm returning it. Insta360 sucks.

I've heard that overheating happens on the top settings and that any other camera that would match the settings would overheat as well (if assuming it is waterproof too). I think most people are ok with decent settings for long recordings.

Is that review is legit then this thing is 1000x better than GoPro. I have a hard time believing those videos didn't take a lot of editing to get the orientation correct.

Trade has been dead for quite a while now. They say there is no time frame when it or if it'll come back.

I just got the DJI action 3, mostly out of spite for GoPro whose CS policy was super annoying and inflexible and has massively soured me on the company. (Vs say Garmin which has always done right by me, hoping DJI is better experience)

I have a Hero 9 and it recently got murdered by a faulty battery door seal and salty ocean water. I have their premium sub and GoPro still wouldn't do anything about it without cost of replacement. So that left a bad taste in my mouth and it's put me off from ordering the 11.

I have been looking at the X3 (rationale being I could use it for real estate virtual tours) and the DJI Action 3. Any reason to give GoPro another chance? I'd like to see how good the stills it produces are. I've never used an action cam for photos because the quality is so poor, but if they upped the sensor game, I would like that flexibility.

Maybe I'll just wait for BF and hope one comes down to $300.

For those without the Amex deal but a chase card check if you have a 10% (up to $22) offer. Have it on my chase freedom.

I have both the GOPro 10 and Insta360 X2 and they both are very different camera and serve different purpose. For normal video quality the GOPro is superior. But I got the X2 mostly for the cool third person snowboard videos. The X2 is also great for kids filming 360deg because they don't have to worry about framing the view. I had the GOPro first but if I have to keep one, I'd probably keep the X2 for the versatility.
