3 small scoops from the ninja scooper, brew on specialty over some ice. Add 4 oz of cold milk, cold sweet cream to taste, more ice if necessary. Its so good.

We got the CM401 from Kohl's last November for about $90. It's ok. It has functioned fine and makes a so-so cup of coffee. Miss my old Cuisinart that made a fantastic cup of coffee. Sadly, it started leaking like a sieve and haven't found anything as good at a reasonable price point again.

I have a similar but older model. Works well. Wand is "ok" not very good for larger/deeper cups.

How is this better than a single serve Keurig? Assuming you're the only person drinking coffee.

If it's anything like the one on the Ninja DualBrew I just get a mug of hot water and soap and run the frother on it then take it over to the sink to rinse (it detaches very easily). We honestly don't use it too often though. It definitely foams up the stuff your frothing, but not in that "thick"(?) way that you get from a steam frother rather it's more just airy/foamy.

We have the Ninja DualBrew which is similar to this at least for the drip coffee. They definitely brew the coffee quite a bit better than any k-cup we had. We used one of the reusable k-cups with filters and our own ground coffee from a local shop, and the same coffee out of our DualBrew definitely had better flavor than out of the keurig. Since we got the DualBrew we're still able to do k-cups too, but we've honestly not bothered for anything other than cheap teas, ciders, hot chocolate, etc that really just need hot water added to a mix rather than real brew time.

Ever tried with a higher quality protein shake in place of the milk/cream? Highly recommend it! Great flavor boost, and gives that punch of protein that basically makes your coffee a breakfast on it's own. We regularly mix in Premier Protein and Fairlife Nutrition Plan shakes along with a few of the Skinny Syrups when we're feeling flavored coffee. We don't bother getting coffee from the local places in the morning anymore cause we like it better than their lattes.

Buy this somewhere that sells an extended warranty for it. Love the device, but some of the problems mine has developed. I'll still buy another one, but only from a site where I can add a warranty. Maybe if you have softer water than me it's not a problem.

This uses regular ground coffee, not pods. So the cost is lower and so is the waste. I've heard that using ground in a keurig with the filter basket doesn't work so great.

I had the stainless steel thermal carafe version of this. Very good machine, the only drawback is that the water reservoir for it was very finicky; if you didn't seat it *exactly* right it would slowly leak all over the counter. Looks like this one has a similar reservoir design so YMMV if it has the same problem.

Costco recently had the DualBrew machine with Kcup option at $130; we have that one now and it has a much better design which fixes that problem as well as a smaller footprint. Worth the extra to me anyways.

I've had several of these over the years, for gifts to family, one for my home, one for lake home. They have never failed, they produce a wonderful tasting coffee. You can't go wrong with these at this price. Glass carafe is definitely the way to go. As to water leaks, never had an issue or any of those I have given as a gift or recommended to friends and family. The scoop on the side tells you how much coffee to use. If the coffee is bitter then you are using too much coffee. From beginner to intermediate this coffee maker is a solid choice
