I'm surprised no one has commented on this. 10% off when you buy the $50 card(s) and no fees or state taxes. That's a great deal. I buy several of the cards almost every time Target does the promotion. Never had a problem. Other things in life should work so easily.

From the AT&T slickdeals post, what I read was, you use a virtual card or a normal card and order the sim. You will only be charged for the sim card today. $300 + tax will be charged the moment you put the sim card and turn on the phone. So, first create an account, load the 300 balance and then put the sim card in the phone. Read through that thread.

Ordered 6, got all 6. $256.5…did the $300/year att prepaid plan. Everything is done except port from tmobile to att. Was in a reddit cricket group, so had to go to tmobile first
Make sure you activate first with a local temporary number then physically call into the port center and have them port it over. That will save you a ton of aggravation.

Are in store prepaid card purchases untaxed like their online purchases?
It depends upon the state or county. I live in NY no taxes so ymmv, however Kroger does charge tax and so does eBay. They are not supposed to but that is how their systems are setup by default.

So I got another 2.50$ off on 1 card because of payment via Redcard. Is that normal? Why is not not mentioned anywhere?

I don't think there's any pattern. I have had redcard for longer than that and spend quite a bit but still my orders got canceled after 2 cards. I'll go to the store instead.

Where I am confused about is the email/digital delivery part... so the store Rep will have to punch your email ID for delivery. how does it work otherwise ?
Did they tax your purchase in store? When ordering online no tax is added.

Yeah, normal. If you happen to have a Discover card and pay with paypal you get 5% cash back... on top of 1% Target circle cash back on each purchase (something you don't get when you pay with the RedCard). FYI.

Thanks OP!
just wondering. since they run this promo every 3 months, why buy out so far? they don't pay interest on your deposits.

speaking of ebay, i've always wondered why are there sellers of these cards that actually charge up to over double the face value. what am i missing? https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_...=0&_sop=16

It's actually about every 4 weeks. Sometimes 5%, sometimes 10% off. I don't refill more than a few months out, personally. Life happens. Kroger also has ATT and Cricket sales about as often too. But depending on where you live they do charge tax. For me, there's only a flat .55 e-911 fee. Not sure why the difference between the two.
