Newegg has a deal on a Gigabyte RTX 3090 Ti for $999. Seems like the lowest price for a new 3090 Ti so far (excluding the Best buy offer for $990 if you had their credit card).

Edit: Seems like Amazon has the same deal.

Note that 4090 is rumored to be announced on 9/20 at GTC, unknown what pricing will look like (expecting 4080 to match this in performance but with less RAM).

There's rumors nvidia is going to price the 4080 in the $800-1200 range also. People are still overpaying for 3080tis on ebay. Still lots of seeming demand. Hopefully it cools.

This would be an okay deal to the right person. I'll probably go AMD.

There will be no 4080 12gb founders edition. Only AIB, which means prices will likely be over the $899 MSRP. And the 12GB model is more like a 4070 than a 4080. The real 4080 starts at $1199.

And the "2-4x faster" is largely meaningless when Nvidia is basing those off cards running DLSS 3.0 and its new bag of tricks against cards running DLSS 2.0. I wouldn't trust any claims nvidia puts out at all.
