I guess that puts the total back to a bit less than what was the regular price before this creeping price insanity. $40 for small, $60 for large (medium). The lowest I paid for my small and large boxes is $35 small, $55 large on a BF deal in 2020.

EDIT: don't forget to pay via PayPal using your enrolled Discover card for 5% cash back (Q3 5% bonus categories include PayPal). Essentially reduces the price to $95.

There was a time when the older 1.0s used to be like under 20.…woops that's the ds150...

the 400s were on sale for like 25-27 for like a year at HD... if you could get them. they went in and out of stock very often. I ended up getting like 10 of them.

especially useful if you store things in an area prone to moisture and flooding.

While its a little more expensive I find the 2 drawer box much more convenient.

Also I wish they would make a 2.0 tote box. I currently use the large 2.0 rolling box with the 2 draw box on top and the open tote 1.0 box on top of that. Works out great.

Thanks OP, I keep my batteries and certain cordless tools in my office storage and I do woodwork in my garage, lugging batteries and tools usually takes a few trips, this out to keep things a bit more organized and make it a single trip.

Are 1.0 and 2.0 compatible?
I have a 1.0 mechanic's tool set with the box and would like to stack and lock these.

Looks like it's 1.0, what's the difference?

Don't quote me but I'm almost certain 2.0 is backwards-compatible.

Regarding the pricing, I also would've called it crazy to pay anywhere near the original price, but with covid and post-pandemic, Dewalt deals seem to be less frequent or not that great. The new normal I guess.

Based on the sale page it is a 2.0 system. If you don't have the bottom wheeled cart already I think the below bundle would be a better deal. you get the bottom wheeled box($119/Home Depot, $129/Amazon) and a top tray($29.97/Home Depot, $29.95/Amazon) for $81 more than the above deal.
