Yeah....t-mobile deals not as good as last year.

So, my calculation for two phone 14s this year is:
Phone 1 = $719.99
Phone 2 = $719.99
Taxes $86.40 (6% sales tax)
Total = $1,526.38
Rebate = $630
Total = $896.38

If you assume 3 months of $20 per line plans ($180 total), your total out out pocket for two unlocked iphone 14 is $1076.38 (or $538.19 each).

It's funny that Costco only accept Visa card but the rebate is Master card

Only fee I am aware of is that Costco usually made you buy a SIM card for $7.99. Not sure if there will be any charge now as iPhone 14 eSIM only.
With last year's BOGO deal the SIM card fee was waived.

Agreed, last year was 720 GC and another $100 per line. here's my math for this year for people who are not interested in switching to T-MOBILE:

2 iPhone 14 Pro 128GB: $900 x 2 = $1800
6% tax: $108
Possibly 3 months of essentials @ 90/month, with tax: $286
GC: -$630
Total: $1564 ($782 per phone)

The phones this year are very much an "S" type revision. That combined with the market downturn, i think this time around we'll see better deals later in the year.
I agree, I would wait until Black Friday.

no activation, YMMV with sim card fee.
They stopped charging for the ePizza and eSoda last time I checked so I assume that won't charge for eSims. I could be wrong though

I'm curious if we can mix and match which 2 iPhones and still get the deal..
You should be able to mix and match. Last year I did so with a 13 Pro Max and a regular 13.

Thanks @adbor44 ... here go my answers:

Do you have current devices to sell/trade in? Yes an iPhone 6 and iPhoneX
Do you prefer to have credits upfront or via monthly bill cycles? Either is fine
Do you place value on unlocked phone so you could switch providers at anytime? No lol. I've been a T-Mobile/Sprint customer since 2003

I've read all the posts in here several times. So if I understand this correctly, with my wife and I both having exisitiing T-Mobile/Sprint phones:
1. I buy two iPhone 14s at Costco
2. I can use one of those new 14s for an existing line, while the other is for a new line
3. Once I get the Mastercard virtual card, I can cancel the new line, yes?
4. When all is said and done, including a few months of service for the extra line, I get two new 14s for around $600 EACH, yes?

My additional questions:
A. Can I buy this online? Or only on the Costco kiosk in the store?
B. Do I have to upgrade my T-Mobile plan when adding these new phones?
C. Are there any hidden fees I'm overlooking?

Thanks for being super helpful. Repped!

On Reddit post, the person claims he spoke to kiosk rep who said it was only Magenta plans. Probably have to confirm in store.
The kiosk reps will push you to get the Magenta plans as presumably they get a higher commission. But nowhere does it say in the fine print for the promo that a Magenta plan is required. You can also call T-Mobile support and ask. Last year I signed up with Magenta at the kiosk but then switched to Essentials without issue.

3. Correct
4. Yes!
A. You can only do this at the kiosk, and with phones that are in stock
B. Probably not. I did it with the Essentials plan last year but the kiosk reps will try to get you to upgrade to one of the Magenta plans.
C. None. Nada

Since both phones would be paid in full you would need to request an unlock from T-Mobile. After this the phone could be used on any carrier.

But be sure to keep the lines active with t-mobile until you receive your $630 rebate.
The unlock is automatic for iPhones on Day 40 of continuous use on the network.

It didn't happen for me. I have to call into tmobile to request it.

does costco ever carry bigger sizes? or just 128?
Usually just 128gb but sometimes they will get a batch of 256gb phones, and even then it's usually the Pro versions

You have to purchase phones through Costco kiosk....not available online.

Based on my math the base iphone cost for two (2) would be closer to $478 each, not $600.

You do not have to upgrade plan. No hidden fees.

Then maybe you didn't have 40 days of continuous use (battery dead)? I got about 5 iPhone 13/Pro/Mini on last year's BestBuy deal and all of them unlocked automatically. I made dead sure that they were always charged.

My additional questions:
A. Can I buy this online? Or only on the Costco kiosk in the store? - I don't think you can buy this online. You can, however, call the kiosk and ask if they have the model/storage you are looking for, and might "reserve" before headed to the store. But this is YMMV depending on the rep.
B. Do I have to upgrade my T-Mobile plan when adding these new phones? - No. Just adding a new line to your existing plan is required.
C. Are there any hidden fees I'm overlooking? - Hmmm no. Some other people pointed out about the Sim card fees ($10-15 each) but looks like some reps do charge, some don't. Make sure you ask about it upfront. I did this deal two times in the past - I got charged for one time, the other there's no such fee. Also, given it's eSim this time - very unlikely this would happen.
