I've had the stowable 20L backpack for several years. It's been relegated to a gym bag. I used to use it as a day bag when I traveled, but the straps do not distribute weight evenly. With any weight they dig into my shoulders like strings.

The ruckpack is better and is currently on clearance for a couple bucks more. I think the straps are farther apart, and they distribute weight better. https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/8230...ONE%20SIZE

Thanks! Grabbed a rucksack for $7.99 after the discount + $10 adventure reward they sent me recently. Actually, it's all a bit sad because the only time I shop with them is to bundle seasonal sales with the rewards they send me several times a year. Eddie just isn't what he used to be.
