Does the REI 100% satisfaction guarantee apply to Re/Supply?
If you purchase a Re/Supply item online, we offer a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. If you're not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of purchase, through the REI Used Gear Returns Portal, not through REI stores or the REI Returns Department.
All sales are final for Re/Supply items purchased in-store.
]How do I return a used item I bought online?
To initiate a return, visit our REI Used Gear Returns Portal. You'll need your order number and the last name associated with your order. This information can be found in your order confirmation email.
After you submit your return request, you'll receive a return authorization email and shipping label. Please print out both the email and shipping label. Include the email in the package you send to us and attach the shipping label to the outside of your return package. Alternatively, you may purchase postage directly from the carrier of your choice. If you use the provided label, $7.25 will be deducted from your refund. Drop off your return at any USPS location. If you would like to schedule a pick up, please coordinate scheduling with USPS.
Once we receive your return, you'll be refunded within 5-7 business days for the cost of the item(s) and any associated sales tax, less the cost of the return postage. If you need assistance during any part of this process, please contact Customer Service at [email protected].
Please note: REI stores and the REI Returns Department (as listed on REI.com) are NOT able to process returns on products sold through the REI Re/Supply website
In what condition is the used gear sold online?
All Re/Supply products sold online are processed and inspected for quality. There are four condition levels for items sold online – excellent, lightly worn, moderately worn, and well worn.
- Excellent: Practically new; likely never worn outside
- Lightly Worn: Trail-tested a few times; minor wear visible
- Moderately Worn: Used for a season; visible wear
- Well Worn: Broken in; visible wear

If OP has opinions on good buys, please post them. Slickdeals is supposed to do the thinking for me and I hit buy, I'm not supposed to have to read and ask if I need X, just buy X because outsourced hive mind told me to.
Also if you haven't bought from the used REI site, the items cannot be returned to an REI store, they need to be shipped back and they charge for return shipping. Not a big fan of buying used items online especially because there are no pictures of the actual items, just a vague description
